Story
Come meet me and LOTS of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Beach Paw-ty! Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm! Nellie is a 7-year-old female Cocker Spaniel weighing in at 30 pounds. Recently rescued from a puppy mill, she’s now discovering what the good life is all about—and she’s loving every minute of it. Nellie is sweet, loving, and wonderfully goofy! She has adjusted to life outside the mill with amazing resilience and a big heart. She hasn’t met a stranger yet and absolutely adores giving her humans the best hugs. Nellie thrives on human companionship and loves being the center of attention. Her favorite activities include exploring the backyard, going for walks and car rides, sampling yummy treats, and curling up for cozy naps in her dog bed. Nellie is currently being fostered with a 50-pound dog and a cat, and she’s done well with both through slow, proper introductions. She’s fantastic on a leash and enjoys sniffing everything on her outdoor adventures. Incredibly treat-motivated, Nellie is eager to please and a great candidate for continued training. She is potty trained and sleeps peacefully through the night. With her unique coloring, big floppy ears, and gentle spirit, Nellie is a true beauty inside and out. She’s ready to find her forever home—and be someone's best friend for life. Nellie is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Reba McInspaniel – Small in Size, Big on Sass! Hold onto your heartstrings, folks - Reba McInspaniel is ready to two-step her way into your life and steal your spot on the couch. This petite, 22#, 4 year old female, red and white cocker spaniel is the total package: beauty, brains (well, she’s working on it), and a whole lotta personality. Reba’s favorite pastimes include:  • Fetching tennis balls like they’re   Grammy awards  • Taking long walks where she can strut her floofy stuff  • Snuggling like she was born for it! But let’s get real for a sec - Reba is a work in progress. After spending her early life on a chain outdoors, she’s still learning the ropes of polite indoor living. She’s not fully house broken, however, she’s learning quickly. She’s sleeps quietly in her crate and keeps it clean like a true Southern lady while you are away from home. Reba is also a girl who knows what she likes - which means:  • She’d do best as your one-and-only dog (diva life chose her and she doesn’t like sharing the spotlight).  • No small children, please - she can be a bit of a resource guarder, especially when it comes to food or toys.   • Ongoing training is a must - she’s still learning her manners, and she needs someone with patience and consistency. Also, let’s talk grooming: that glorious coat doesn’t stay red-carpet ready on its own. Reba will need professional grooming to keep her looking (and feeling) fabulous and will require regular brushing to maintain her coat free from mats.  If you’re ready to welcome a funny, feisty, and affectionate gal who’s learning how to be an indoor diva, Reba McInspaniel is waiting backstage for her forever encore.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   May 16, 2025, 3:46 pm
