Harper is a 3.5 month old Cocker Spaniel/Yorkie mix who weighs about 12 pounds. She is energetic and playful, but loves to crash for naps. Harper loves being with people, can be timid with larger dogs, and enjoys splashing in her water bowl. Harper does well with the larger foster dogs in her current foster home. She enjoys a wide variety of toys and wrestling with dogs her size. She also enjoys a wide variety of chews like cod sticks and pig ear strips. Harper loves to climb stairs and enjoys having an elevated crate. Following a human around while they complete household chores is great fun for Harper. She enjoys exploring everything as long as she’s close to her humans. Harper is a double merle so her hearing is minimal, and it could affect her vision when she is older. She has merle ocular dysgenesis. Harper currently has difficulty seeing in low light, but is a very happy dog. It is a requirement to have a second dog in the home as a guide dog. She shouldn't be let off leash as she can't hear you call her back. Harper is not potty trained, but will bark to go out if in her kennel. Adoption fee is $450.00 plus applicable taxes and fees. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paisley is a purebred cocker spaniel who came to MCHS as an owner surrender on 10/8/2026 due to rental restrictions. She is a calm and rather stocky mature lady who is around 7 years old. She's a little unsure of things at the shelter right now, but that's not unusual. We will have her vet checked and spayed on Oct. 30th and her fee is $150. We're hoping to find Paisley a home that has some experience with cocker spaniels, as they can be rather high maintenance dogs. She would especially love a somewhat calm home in which she won't be left alone a lot. She will require some regular grooming to keep her coat tangle free, with extra attention on her beautiful ears and fluffy feet. She has done okay with male dogs and older kids. She has never been around cats.  NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. Hi! My name is Remi and I am a pocket sized (33 lb) orange and white...almost red...roan Brittany and I'm looking for my forever family. Check out my photos! People always tell me I'm SO handsome. I am 4 years old, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, HW negative (just went through HW treatment), microchipped, and I'm fit as a fiddle. Now that the boring stuff has been covered, let me tell you the good stuff about me . I really like to go for walks. Foster mum says I'm pretty good on a leash. Sometimes I will bark or growl at other dogs when on a walk, but I do go to daycare and get along with everyone there. It's a leash thing. I am very good at basic commands and will sit when asked and will wait for you to take off my leash or feed me etc. I am a sensitive little boy and I am looking for a quiet home and someone who likes to snuggle. I will happily curl up on the couch or your bed with you. I do get nervous around smaller kids and don't like loud/sudden noises, so an adult only home or home with older, considerate kids (older teens) would be best. I think I'd be great with an active senior or retired couple who are home a lot so they can hang with me! I don't need another dog in the house and would be okay as your only dog. I may be nervous at first, but with your patience and some snuggles, I'm sure we will be the best of friends. Greetings, Humans! I'm Hank Jr! Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Hank, a dashing 18-month-old French Brittany with movie-star looks, a comedian's timing, and ears expertly designed for maximum adorability. At a lean and athletic 30 pounds, I'm the perfect size for adventures, couch cuddles, and showing off my zoomies in a fenced backyard. Everyone tells me I'm handsome, but I try to stay humble. (It's difficult when you're this cute.) Life has been teaching me lots of new things. I didn't have much experience with grass before coming to my foster home, so I've been learning the fine art of outdoor potty etiquette. I'm almost completely house-trained and working hard toward earning my "100% Good Boy" certificate. I can be a little shy when meeting new people or hearing loud noises. Think of me as a sensitive soul with a big heart. Once I trust you, you'll discover that I'm affectionate, silly, and always ready to make you laugh. Thanks to quick action and a successful surgery, Pete now sees the world with bright curiosity… and he’s determined to chase every ball in it. He sometimes gets fascinated by light and shadows, and like many Brittanys, he has been known to sample things that aren’t exactly food.
