Story
Tofu is a major cutie—a sweet, cuddly 1.5 year-old Cockapoo with a heart full of love and a tongue that’s almost always sticking out (seriously… it’s part of his signature look!). This affectionate little guy lives for kisses, snuggles, and being close to his people. If you’re looking for a best friend who wants to be wherever you are, Tofu is your guy.Tofu has a playful puppy spirit and still gets the zoomies like a champ! While he does have some hip and back leg issues that we’re still learning more about, it doesn’t stop him from running, playing, and enjoying life. It’s believed these traits may be inherited. Regardless, Tofu doesn’t let it slow him down and continues to be an active, happy pup.Because he’s still a puppy, Tofu can get a little mouthy when he’s extra excited, but he’s made great progress learning to redirect that energy to his beloved chew toys (which he absolutely loves). For this reason he may need to be in a home with full grown children. He’s also very fond of his toy box… though he’s still trying to understand why throw pillows aren’t considered toys. 😉Tofu is crate trained and does well settling in his kennel. He has come a long way with his potty training and continues to improve, especially with a consistent routine—he may just need a little extra patience and guidance to get fully there. He loves being outside, especially lounging in the grass and soaking up the fresh air. At the end of the day, Tofu’s favorite place is anywhere he can curl up with his human. He truly just wants to be loved and part of a family. With his sweet personality, adorable bleep tongue, and endless affection, Tofu is ready to steal hearts and become someone’s perfect companion.Interested in Adoption? Story
Our Austin Landmark Litter was born in April 2026. They will be available to go to their furever families the 3rd week of June. Their mama is a beautiful cocker spaniel and the dad was a husky/malamute/samoyed mix. Like most Husky mixes (43% Cocker Spaniel, 31% Siberian Husky, 12% Alaskan Malamute 4% Samoyed), Barton displays heterochromia. One brown and eye and one blue eye. He also sports a heart shaped patch on his chest and with his intelligence and inquisitiveness, he is sure to locate your heart. If you've got questions or want to express interest in one of these, please EMAIL us at woof@austincockerrescue.org As always, adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website at austincockerrescue.org

Story
Bailee is a smart, sweet, and deeply loyal companion who forms a special bond with his person. Once he’s all in, he’s truly all in—always happiest right by your side and ready to be your shadow through life’s everyday moments. This darling 9 year old boy has a gentle, loving nature, paired with a cautious side that just means he takes his time to understand the world around him. But once he feels safe, his affection shines through in the most genuine way.Bailee gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but his favorite place will always be right next to his person—where he feels most at home. Bailee is on medication for a heart murmur which is something that has to be monitored but hasn't caused him any noticeable symptoms. If gentle and easy is your vibe, you just might need a Bailee in your life. Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website. Story
ou know how some dogs, you can just take one look at their face and tell how sweet they are? Yeah, that's Julius. We mean, just look at this smile. If you are looking for the sweetest guy to cuddle with, Juluis is your boy! He is a young (2 years appr.), medium-sized boy who is very laid back. He loves to run around the backyard, roll around in the grass and go for walks. He is great on a leash and is a quick learner. He is happy to sleep at night on the floor or share a bed with his people--he's happy either way. He hasn’t met a food he doesn't like and is very enthusiastic at meal time. He quickly learned to sit and stay until he is released to approach his food bowl. He is good with people, other dogs and has already learned to coexist with the cat in his foster home. Although he is a bit fearful when he first meets strangers and new dogs, he quickly warms up to them after a few minutes. He is also a great car rider and will happily jump in, ready for a new adventure. We believe that Julius will do best in a home with no shared walls and one with a backyard. He quickly mastered the dog door in his foster home and thinks he’s the coolest going back and forth from the house to the yard. He is newly (mostly) housetrained. Julius is heartworm positive, but please don’t let that scare you off. He will be treated at one of our vets in the Austin or San Antonio area while with his new family, and CSRA/SA will pay for the treatment.
