Meet Moses! He is a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix. He will need an experienced adopter as he can bite and redirect on you without warning. He needs to be in an adult only home, preferably with a woman. He is protective of his person and is not fond of most people. He does not like to have more than one person to share his affection with. He will need a quiet home without too much stimulation or people coming and going. He is a happy boy who needs strict consistency. He loves female dogs and would love to be in a home with one to play with. He needs a home with a yard, no apartment living for him. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. Moses is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
Let's all take a second to appreciate what is happening with Zeus McGoose’s ears. Seriously... they deserve their own fan club. Between those long, floppy ears, his beautiful golden-red locks, the adorable freckles sprinkled across his nose, and those perfectly expressive little forehead wrinkles, Zeus looks like he walked straight out of a storybook. He's the kind of dog that makes people stop scrolling, smile, and immediately think, "Okay... I need to know more about this guy." The good news? His personality is every bit as wonderful as his looks. Zeus is sweet, fun, easy to live with, and has that perfect balance so many people hope to find. He's playful without bouncing off the walls, affectionate without needing to be glued to your side, and happy simply being part of whatever you're doing. Whether he's carrying around one of his beloved squeaky toys, lounging in the sunshine, or hanging out with his people after a day of fun, Zeus has this easygoing charm that's incredibly easy to fall in love with. Watch his video and prepare to become obsessed with those ears: https://youtu.be/TkrTH-Je-GI?si=eXC_GPY0jrIu3d73 He is approximately 2 years old, currently weighs around 28 lbs, and we believe he may be a Cocker Spaniel mix. As with any rescue dog, breed is always a mystery and we can never guarantee exactly what he is, but whatever his breed mix may be... we think he absolutely hit the genetic jackpot. Zeus is currently fostered in a multi-dog home with several little dogs that weigh around 10-12 lbs, and he's done wonderfully with them. He's not the type that's constantly trying to wrestle or play all day long, but he definitely enjoys having little buddies to run around the backyard with. He seems perfectly content doing his own thing, joining in when he feels like it, and then settling back down again. We haven't had the opportunity to introduce him to dogs his size or larger just yet, but we'd be more than happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with a dog that has a similar temperament to yours if you'd like us to. One thing you'll quickly learn about Zeus is that this boy has priorities... and squeaky toys are very high on the list. Honestly, we're pretty convinced he can hear one from across the house. The second he hears that squeak, he's ready to investigate. He absolutely loves his toys, especially squeaky ones, and likes keeping them nearby almost like they're his emotional support buddies. Balls are another favorite, and watching him happily bounce around the yard with a toy in his mouth is guaranteed to make you smile. He's also a smart cookie. Zeus already knows how to sit, absolutely loves treats, takes them with the gentlest mouth, and genuinely enjoys learning. His foster describes him as eager to please, which makes working with him both fun and rewarding. Zeus is crate trained and does wonderfully in his crate. He's also doing really well with potty training. His foster shares that accidents in the house are very rare, and while he's still putting the finishing touches on always remembering exactly where the appropriate potty spots are, he's already built a really solid foundation. We think Zeus would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can chase toys, zoom around when the mood strikes, stretch out for an afternoon sunbath, and enjoy all the little things that make him happiest. While we haven't had the opportunity to see him with children just yet, based on everything we've learned about him so far, we think he has wonderful potential to become an incredible family dog, especially for a family with older kids that want a goofy, toy-loving companion to grow up with. At the end of the day, Zeus really isn't asking for much. A basket overflowing with squeaky toys. A backyard to enjoy. A family that loves him. Maybe a tennis ball or two. And plenty of people willing to tell him how ridiculously handsome he is, because honestly... they're probably going to be thinking it anyway. If you've been looking for a dog that's equal parts handsome, playful, sweet, and easy to live with, Zeus just might be your perfect match. We have a feeling those floppy ears are going to steal your attention first... but it's his personality that'll steal your heart. We are willing to test Zeus McGoose with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Rae has one of the saddest stories & the cruelty here is soul destroying. Rae lived in a cage in the laundry in CA for 8 years. She had a dog brother who was allowed to be out & about all the time, go on car rides, receive affection, but not Rae because her mum did like, love or want her. There were times she even admitted she had been kicking Rae. There was a husband & small child in the home who did love Rae & wanted her but the mother could not stand the site of her & threatened to euthanize her. Once we were told how Rae needed help we moved heaven & earth to help Rae so she could know what love is. We believe every sweet soul such as Rae and her friends deserves to be loved and cherished and given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Rae is looking for a special family to cherish her and be patient with her & remember what this beautiful soul has been through and a family that meets all her needs. Once we got Rae we knew immediately she needed to lose weight & start a much healthier life inside & out. Rae was bought back to WA state & is so happy to be here. Rae is the most beautiful soul and loves hard when people love her. She knows her world is so very different. Her foster mum said she is such a good girl and up for anything and comes when she calls her and gets so excited at times, ie when it’s time to get up, dinner time, going for adventures. Rae loves her foster mum so much & followed her everywhere once she first arrived. It’s so sad because her mum never loved her so she was craving love. She radiates gratitude. She just wants you to love her and she will love you back. She adores being hugged and held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love and affection apart from a day in her foster home in CA. She is a really smart girl too because on the day of arrival she got in the car & never looked back & it was if she had always been here. When she finds people who love her they become his world. She is such a soft gentle girl who gets so excited every time she sees her foster mum and her little bum is always wagging with glee. She loves to run and play with her foster siblings and must go to a home with another dog who will be company for her. A dog that has too much energy might be a bit too much for her. Rae eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats and supplements. She also enjoys collagen sticks and bully sticks. All of her treats are homemade and we are still getting her to lose weight. Rae has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. Rae is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Rae adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming her, baths, the hairdryer she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Rae & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far she has not started showing interest in toys in her foster home. Rae has learnt to ride in the car and does well in the car and enjoys a good car ride. She is such an amazing, loving little lady. With Rae we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lady only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Rae where someone is home during the day or Rae can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Rae is looking for a forever home who will cherish her and love her as she should be loved and be very patient with her and understanding. Rae has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes and sizes since coming into the rescue and she is currently with other dogs and enjoys their company in her loving foster home. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings and will want to sleep in bed with you and she does in her current loving foster home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Rae’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Rae is now roughly 27 lbs & 8 years old. She is spayed & perhaps a cocker spaniel & what she is mixed with we are not sure? She is microchipped, had her shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Rae will also be receiving a dental prior to adoption. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. Rae has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have had Rae with small children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Rae was go conceived so we do not know who her parents were and it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures and decide what they think her breed is. Unfortunately we have spent far more on Rae than her adoption fee covers & the owner didn’t care & just wanted her gone. As with all of our rescues and Rae’s friends she will need work on potty training and training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life and that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Rae potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through and what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them and if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training and not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Rae and going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end and are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on and remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview and a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet and if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Rae who understands her needs and that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives and please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Rae has an adoption fee of $865 & is ready for her truly loving forever home and compassion and understanding of what she has been through.

Story
**Brad and Scout: Bonded Brothers**   *King Charles Cavalier-Dachshund-Chihuahua Mix* **Background**   Brad and Scout are a unique pair of 5-year-old mixed-breed dogs, consisting of Cavalier King Charles, Dachshund, and Chihuahua, rescued during a hoarding raid. They are the only two remaining from their previous family and seek a forever home together. It is crucial for their well-being that they stay together, as they have formed a special bond. **What Brad and Scout Need**   Brad and Scout are not just looking for a home; they are searching for best friends. With the right amount of love and patience, you will gain two very loving and devoted companions. They are young and have many years ahead of them to be your loyal friends.  Please note that Brad and Scout require an ADULT-only home to ensure they receive the appropriate care and attention.  Brad is outgoing and loves sleeping with you at night, burying himself under the covers, and falling asleep in your arms or lap. He is very affectionate with the person he bonds with and wants to cuddle and be by their side, wherever they go. On the other hand, Scout is more cautious and shy and will need time to come around independently. He enjoys being talked to and will take treats from your hand. Once he is out of the busy, often chaotic rescue environment and in a warm and loving home, we believe he will begin to open up to his new family.  Brad has a vibrant personality. Although he may be initially shy and reticent, he will start to trust you once he realizes you are a friend. After spending the night with you, he will become your new best friend by morning. Brad loves to follow you everywhere, and Scout will follow him, as he also wishes to feel loved and petted, even if he is too shy to seek it out. **How to Meet and Adopt**   Brad and Scout have been switched to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a specifically tailored, healthy canine feeding plan. We have provided them with the best care possible and will continue to support their new owners with guidance on their diet and nutrition. To adopt Brad and Scout, a special bonded pup adoption fee of $595.00 applies. All funds will cover medical expenses and help rescue more dogs.  Please fill out the online application form using the following link.   Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we can get to know you and make the best match.          www.smallpupsrescue.org June 29, 2026, 5:28 pm
