Story
Meet Moses! He is a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix. He will need an experienced adopter as he can bite and redirect on you without warning. He needs to be in an adult only home, preferably with a woman. He is protective of his person and is not fond of most people. He does not like to have more than one person to share his affection with. He will need a quiet home without too much stimulation or people coming and going. He is a happy boy who needs strict consistency. He loves female dogs and would love to be in a home with one to play with. He needs a home with a yard, no apartment living for him. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. Moses is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
Hi! My name is Nova and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good Samaritan on December 8, 2025.I weigh 46lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I would do best in a home with older children.I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Story
Coconut is the cutest black and white brit mix (primarily setter) you will ever see. She is very intelligent, athletic, loyal, and cuddly.   She is a 3 year-old and weighs 35 pounds.  She LOVES people, and is really good on her leash walks.  Coconut’s foster mom has worked on Coconut’s social skills and Coconut is quite polite and well-behaved in social settings. She even walked politely through a nursery without knocking over plants or trying to eat them.  Coconut’s foster mom has even taken Coconut to work where she either lays quietly on the floor or talks to the other employees. Coconut is a high energy girl, very birdy, and will need a home with a yard that is has a 6 ft privacy fence so she can safely run zoomies and hang out in the sun.  She is going to need a home where her people understand her exercise needs and can take her on daily walks/runs.  Coconut also loves her toys although squeakies aren’t the best since she has been known to tear out the squeaker and you would want to avoid a squeakerectomy. Coconut would do well as an only dog or would be okay with another dog who is not a bully.  She is not timid with other dogs and will check aggressive dogs, will guard, but loves to play.  Coconut can get jealous when another dog tries to get her toys or treats and will tell the other dog off.  When she is corrected she responds appropriate and immediately.  She does tend to play hard so a small dog is probably not appropriate Coconut likes to get your attention by putting your hand in her mouth.  She doesn’t bite or pull but just gently holds your hand until you respond.  A little training should be able to transfer this behavior to just nosing your hand for attention.   Coconut also loves to herd her people.  Coconut does have a hip pin from surgery required after sh was hit by a car.  Her surgery was successful and she loves to run. Coconut needs a person or family that takes her with them for most everything.  A home where someone is home most of the time would also be ideal.  She just wants to be with people and wants to go with them. She is polite and great in every setting her foster family has tested.   She would do ok with a single person that needs a companion for adventures, or with a family that takes the dog with them for adventures Coconut is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $325.00.  If you are interested in making Coconut a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process. If you have questions after you have completed the adoption application, contact Patti at 801.641.4053.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Coconut can be adopted up to 1400 miles from her foster home to eligible adopters.December 11, 2025, 12:18 am

Story
Jimmy Pickles is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. He’s a sweet and snuggly dog. He’s so curious, but sometimes he gets nervous and that holds him back a little bit, but he is brave and as he warms up will quickly overcome his fears. He loves having his ears and bum scratched. Once he’s comfortable, he is an ultimate snuggle buddy and will curl up next to you or on your lap. He sleeps in a crate with a blanket covering in the primary bedroom. He loves to snuggle nap. He doesn’t always sleep through the night yet. He pees and poops both outside and inside. He does go most of the time when he’s put outside, but has pee accidents. He doesn’t go in playpen or crate without help. He has been seen to eat poop. He’s good with other dogs and with children, He likes ridesl in a car. Jimmy Pickles is such a funny guy and loves to be around people. If he had the option, he would be near you or on top of you at all times. He is slow to eat sometimes, so allowing him time/space to eat is important. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
