Story
Meet Spring — a total love bug with infinite chill. She loves a good snuggle, but definitely isn’t a lap dog; enjoying her personal space when she wants it. With a really mellow demeanor, she’s adaptable and would fit well with any family looking for a lowkey dog. She gets along great with other dogs and is a quick learner. She’s fully potty trained and an expert at “sit,” while still getting good at plenty of other tricks. Spring has hip dysplasia. At 10 months old, that means she’s got a long, good life ahead of her with the right support — weight management, joint supplements, and moderate exercise instead of high-impact activity. Her low-to-medium energy level is really aligned with the kind of activity dogs with her condition require; she’s not a dog who needs to run miles to be happy. She’d do great with: • Another dog in the house, or as your only pet • A family that wants a calm companion, not a workout partner • Someone willing to keep her at a healthy weight and stay on top of joint care • A home — apartment or house — where she can settle in and feel secure If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate girl who just needs someone to invest a little extra care in her joints, Spring might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.

Story
Meet Cookie and read what her foster has shared about her. Cookie is nothing short of a wonderful dog. She has a calm and very loving personality, bonds deeply with her people and gives lots of kisses. She loves humans and is always eager to say hello! She's joyfully energetic and channels her energy very well in the house, enjoying rest and nap time after a long walk. She's also very smart and knows "sit", "wait", "leave it" and "paw". Frequent walks and hikes are needed, especially as Cookie loves being outside and exploring. She gets at least 1.5 hours of exercise in a day (walks + running in an enclosed space where she can burn off her energy and get her zoomies out). Every 2-3 days, she goes on a longer walk or hike for 3 to 4 hours. She adores her walks and needs an active and outdoorsy family. Cookie is also fully houstrained. She can totally be trusted when left alone and we allow her to free roam in the house. She sleeps on her dog bed in her crate at night (in the living room), and often hangs out in her crate during the day to be in her own space, when she's not by our side napping or asking for pets and snuggles! Overall, she's a happy pup who really wants to make friends and highly benefits from being socialized with dogs as it seems to boost both her mood and self-confidence. She is especially drawn to her northern breed cousins (huskies and samoyeds, to name a few) and enjoys playtime sessions with them. At times, Cookie can feel a little insecure and may resource guard her person from other dogs, so she will do best with an adopter who understands this behavior and can provide clear boundaries and reassurance. She has strong prey drive so is not good around small animals. While she does well with most dogs outside, she is more selective about dogs in her home when it comes to personality, size, and playfulness. We think Cookie would do well either in a home with a self-confident, energetic dog companion she can play with, or in a single-dog home where her human(s) find opportunities for her to be around other dogs and play. Please submit an application for her if you think she is a match for you.

Story
Chowder is a happy, fun-loving boy with loads of love to share. He loves to spend his day playing with his people, other canine companions, and a ball. Chowder loves to play fetch, though he isn't always great at giving it back. Chowder craves human attention, and begs to go on walks. He would do best in an active household. Chowder does well off-leash. he is inquisitive, and likes to check things out, but comes back when called. Chowder would not be a good fit for a house with cats. Nonetheless, all Chowder really wants is a human / humans and home to call his own, and he will delight whoever is lucky enough to take a chance on him. He really wants to be loved, and to do what is asked of him. He is very expressive and fun to be around. Please call 707-459-4900 for more information or to schedule an appointment to meet Chowder.

Story
Hank is a big beautiful 1 1/2 yr old boy that is fully/professionally trained. He is house trained, crate trained, leash trained (amazing walker/ trained not to pull), well behaved in the car, loves going new places and meeting new people, takes treats gently. Hank is a mixed guardian shepherd breed and needs lots of exercise. If you have a big yard (which is needed for Hank), no need for a ball or frisbee, he will sprint around for hours by himself protecting your yard. He doesn't get along with male dogs, but does fine with female dogs and cats. Hank has lived with a 4 yo and 6 yo for over a year and is very gentle and sweet with him. However, because of his size, we think he would do best in a home with older kids. Hank is neutered, UTD on his vaccines and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting this very special boy, apply at jellysplace.org/forms or contact Amy Larke at 917-714-2852

Story
Meet Foxie! She was actually rescued by two staff members in pt. Richmond with her baby and the dad. They all went to CCAS and foxie was the last one who needed a home, so Milo pulled her! So far she is sweet once she warms up and she is still learning the basics of the world. She would do well with owners who have experience with dogs and ideally adults only as she can be a bit nervous with too much going on. She walks well on leash.

Story
Tony is a sweet, handsome, goofy, and energetic lovebug! He wants nothing more than to play with his people and other dogs. He seems completely unbothered by the loss of one of his front legs, this boy is ready for action and love! Tony has been a longterm resident, coming to Milo in February of 2025, injured, alone and afraid. He was quickly given the care that he needed, receiving a pricey leg amputation to diminish his paid. Despite the traumas that Tony went through, that we will never know and can probably never imaging, Tony keeps his tail held high not giving up on finding his fuever family. Tony sees every person and dog as a friend and potential playmate. He has learned how to navigate the world with his new body and to walk on a leash with good manners, he is getting really good at "sit". He is also quickly learning that his crate is a happy place and does very well once inside and loves a good chewy toy or treat. Tony would be best in a home with a person/people who will nurture him with lots of love, exercise and continued training; he so badly wants to show that he's the goodest three-legged boy ever! He is extremely food motivated so training should be fun and effective. Tony has endless potential and is ready to show the world that tripods rule! Apply today to meet this wonderful boy!

Looking to add a little Lavender to your life? This lovely girl brings a calming presence, a gentle heart, and a quiet kind of love that's truly special. Lavender is a sweet soul who's looking for a patient family to help her blossom. She can be shy when meeting new people and takes a little time to adjust, but once she feels safe, her affectionate side begins to shine. She's dog-friendly and would enjoy a canine companion, and she does best with dog-savvy children ages 13 and older who understand that she needs a calm, respectful approach. Lavender has a soft mouth, is motivated by love and affection, and enjoys learning when positive encouragement is part of the experience. As she continues to build her confidence, Lavender will benefit from ongoing socialization with people to help her feel more comfortable in new situations. With patience, kindness, and a little time, she'll reward her family with quiet companionship and unwavering loyalty. If you're looking for a loving dog who's ready to grow alongside you, Lavender may be the perfect addition to your home.
