Story
Meet Titan – a 1.5-year-old Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix with brains, energy, and a heart full of second chances. This handsome guy is sharp as a tack and always ready for action! Titan was adopted from us last year but recently turned up as a stray at another local shelter. Sadly, no one came forward to claim him, so now he’s back with us and ready to find his true forever home. He’s an energetic goofball with a big brain—just waiting for someone to channel that smarts into fun and positive training. Titan plays well with other dogs and even lived with cats in his previous home. He’d thrive in an active household with sturdy, dog-savvy people who can keep up with his zest for life. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts clever and cuddly, Titan just might be your guy.June 6, 2025, 2:04 pm

Meet Bingo! This handsome 1.5-year-old Heeler/Aussie mix is smart, sensitive, and ready for a fresh start. Bingo came to us as a surrender and is now looking for a home where he can truly thrive. He’s incredibly intelligent and eager to learn, but like many working breeds, he needs both mental and physical stimulation to be at his best. Bingo is making great progress with his leash manners and continues to improve every day—he just needs someone who’s committed to continuing his training and helping him shine.Bingo would do best in a calmer home with adults or teens. He previously lived peacefully with a cat and a small dog, but the busy environment of a home with young children was overwhelming for him. With the right guidance and structure, Bingo will be a loyal and rewarding companion.July 3, 2025, 2:08 pm

Story
I adopted Kiyomi a few months ago and she really is such an awesome dog! She loves to run in open spaces and play with other dogs! She loves to go to the beach and be out doors. She’s a little shy within the first few minutes of meeting someone but then she will be all over you! The only reason I can’t keep her is because my cat is dealing with some stress and hair loss because Kiyomi wants to play with her but my cats too small to do so. I want Kiyomi to go to an amazing home because she really deserves it.

Story
Please contact Lucinda (lucinda@northbaycanine.org) for more information about this pet.North bay Canine Rescue and Placement  To fill out our adoption application please go here: http://northbaycanine.org/adopting-from-north-bay/  PUPPY So smart and cuddly. Ready to learn. Loves people. Red Speckled Australian Stumpy Tailed/Cattle dog mix Contact Hollie 707-321-5022 or dollielamafarm [at] yahoo [dot] com  Puppy is a handsome, red Stumpy Tail Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix. He was picked up as a stray on July 30th. We thought he would be claimed quickly bc he was so sweet and good looking.  That is why we didn’t name him. We have called a variety of names: (full) Monty, Dingo Boy, Mr. Camo-Pants… mostly just “Puppy”.  The vet estimates him to be about 11 months old (11/20/2024) presently.  Puppy is aggressively friendly. He wants to say hi to every person and animal we come across on our walks or who comes to the house. He’s quite cheerful, smart, and eager to learn. What little training I have done with him is with the assistance of treat rewards.  He loves to be outside - running around, grazing on grass, or just sitting in the sunshine. Mornings are his active time requiring a good deal of attention, and he seems to settle down for naps more easily in the afternoon. In the evening he likes to sit with family on the couch to watch TV and get belly rubs. That said, he doesn’t quite grasp the concept of personal space. He believes himself to be a cat-sized lap dog.  Speaking of cats, we have an older female who confines herself to the master bedroom. Puppy will want to go in and say hi. She responds with hissing, meowing, and swiping if he gets too close. It did not look as if he wanted to attack her at all. He’s just curious.  He can be left home alone for a few hours during the day. This only happens about once every couple weeks. As far as toys go, he’s destroyed and tried to eat all things furry within hours. We limit him to Nyla bones and a couple of hard to destroy balls.  We put him in a kennel to sleep at night. He resists going in but doesn’t complain for the rest of the time once he’s in. He does great on a people bed, too, but wants to be let out too early in the morning for my grown kids’ taste when they’re here. He will tolerate a shower but doesn’t care to be towel dried.  Puppy is housebroken, neutered, and vaccinated (not chipped). He deserves a good home with someone to give him attention, training, enrichment, companionship, and room to run.   March 10, 2025, 11:51 pm
