Story
ENZOOOOOOOOO! WOOOHOOOOO! Let's Go!!! This boy has a zest for life! Before Lily's Legacy swooped him up, Enzo was found running with a pack of dogs in Stanislaus County. He was most likely hit by a car that dislocated his hip. Our good friends at Fairfax Vet did a stellar job getting it set back into place, but he is on activity restriction for a bit longer to really let it settle back into place. But once those restrictions are lifted, man, this boy will be ready for some fun! Balls, toys, jumping, climbing, hiking, fetch, obedience, you name it. Enzo is true to his breed and is one smart dog. So, no couch potatoes please, but if you are an active person looking for your ride or die, Enzo just might be your good boy.

Story
This sweet bonded pair ended up at the Kern County Shelter after their human passed away. They had been with her since they were young and were very well-loved family members. Sadly, they started shutting down at the shelter, but luckily a kind foster stepped up and cared for them for several months before having to go oversees to care for family. That’s when Harli & Bear made their journey to Lily’s, first spending time with a temporary foster and now with a long-term foster until they find their forever home (hopefully soon!). With all the changes in their life, understandably, Harli & Bear take some time to warm up to new people. Once they do, they spend most of their day lounging, wanting to be near their humans. Bear loves toys and won’t go anywhere without his stuffy. He is curious and a bit more reserved than Harli. But once settled, he sure loves his belly rubs! While she can be shy at first, Harli is a couch potato and a “go with the flow” kind of gal, just happy to be a part of the crowd. Both are learning confidence in their foster home, slowly learning to greet new people and open up. They both get along well with other dogs. In one of their foster homes, they had 5 resident doggy siblings and did well but would prefer a smaller pack at home with maybe one other dog so they can get all the attention they deserve. The pair have been working to befriend the resident cat, waiting and hoping at the top of the stairs that the cat will appear and want to play. While the resident cat isn’t quite as into his new friends, they are beginning to slowly win him over with time and persistence! Despite all they’ve been through, these two remain sweet and gentle dogs, looking for their new furever home to call their own. They have received rave reviews from their fosters on how easy and lovable they remain. Here’s what one of their fosters had to say: "These two are the most adorable bonded pair I have ever seen. Harli is sweet and shy. She is often afraid to go outside to greet my other dogs, so Bear will be by her side and he is her best bud and will always be with her. I have seen him give her kisses on the face to reassure her. They are an easy pair. They want mostly to be with their person and to have their bellies rubbed or their back scratched. They are not aggressive. They eat their food together peacefully and do not guard their food or toys. Wherever they go, their new guardian would be so incredibly lucky to have them. I have only fostered them for six days and already love them so much. They're an easy loving pair. Please consider adopting them. You will love them!"

Story
🐾 Loving, Highly Intelligent Dog – Freya 🐾 It’s not easy to write this, but I’m looking for the right home for Freya, my Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix. She’s incredibly intelligent, energetic, and eager to learn, yet also calm, affectionate, and very people-oriented. Freya knows many commands (sit, stay, lay down, come, and more), responds to hand signals and snaps, and thrives on training and mental stimulation. She loves walks, running, puzzle toys, and relaxing near you—whether watching out the window or curling up at your feet. She’s gentle, not aggressive, and prefers people over dogs. She may playfully mouth but does not bite. She hasn’t been around young kids but seems playful and curious. I’m rehoming due to a divorce and apartment living—she deserves more space and time than I can give. Ideal home: active, space to run, minimal crating, and someone who will continue her training. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and a truly loyal companion. 1K word limit 😒

Find Max a home!! We are moving and unfortunately cannot bring Max with us. Max is a playful 7 year old dog. He loves to be chased in the backyard, and cuddle with his stuffed animals. Max enjoys rough booty pats and scratches on the head. He also loves to sun bathe. He is gentle with children. He is very well house trained and never has any accidents in the house. Max knows simple commands like - sit, go to bed, to potty, shake, come here, and down. He is a very good boy!

Story
Panda is an adorable, 1-year-old herding-type pup—maybe an Aussie, maybe a Collie, or maybe a perfect mix of both! One thing is certain: he’s super smart and eager to learn. Panda loves other dogs and has an outgoing, energetic personality that makes him a joy to be around. We’re still unsure how he feels about cats. With his active nature, Panda would thrive in a home with sturdy, active people who are ready for adventures, playtime, and continued training. He’s a bright, happy boy looking for a family to keep up with his enthusiasm and give him the love he deserves.March 17, 2026, 5:37 pm
