Story
Giselle, our super-sweet collie mix, finally is ready to be adopted after her surgeries and her healing in the loving arms of Dr. Erica Lipari. We think she is under 2 years old. Giselle is super friendly with all people, dogs, and cats. She is wonderful on leash and not reactive at all with other dogs walking by. Sometimes she gets excited and jumps up to kiss your face...can you handle it? She only pulls minimally and is easy to walk. After her time on the street, she can be a little sound and environmentally-sensitive with loud noises or new places. But with gentle encouragement she adjusts really well. She trusts her humans. In the home, Giselle is potty-trained, not destructive, and would be fine sleeping either in a crate or by your feet. She enjoys hanging out at home and being your shadow. Giselle has been fostered with 4 dogs and 2 cats and is very playful. However, she would do best in a home where another dog won’t be dominant or pushy. When she was busted out of the shelter we knew she would need Entropian surgery on both eyes. She had her surgeries and her Entropion is resolved and well-healed! Yay Dr. Lipari! She has a sliding hiatal hernia where the hole in her diaphragm is slightly wider than it should be, but overall, shouldn’t be a problem. She does have a flea allergy, so prevention must be maintained. What can we say? Giselle is a precious sweet girl who is very easy-going and knows how to make herself right at home wherever her people are. She is an absolute love! Someone will be super lucky to adopt this precious girl into their family! If youre interested in adopting Giselle, please complete an adoption application at https://collie.org or contact Dana Berliner at toothfairy1528@yahoo.com.
