Meet sweet Liv! This poor girl arrived thin and frail, missing fur and with a broken back leg. She had been beaten and left to die. Luckily, we were able to save this little one and get her the care and attention she needed. Liv is only around 3 to 4 months old and we believe she is a Lab and Collie mix. She is a loving, affectionate girl that is good with other dogs and gentle with children. She enjoys snuggles and toys. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Liv then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Story
A great companion! Hi, friends! My name is Alonso, and I’ve come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home!   I’m a 7 year old old Border Collie mix male, who weighs 45 pounds.  I’m potty-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained, and I’ve already been neutered, too.  As far as my health goes, I’m on Royal Canin Vet Diet Adult Gastrointentinal Low Fat Dry dog to help manage my kidney issues.  I also have limited vision in my right eye and am blind in my left eye, so I am currently on Prednisone acetate, which costs ~$20 a bottle, depending on the market value and where it is purchased and Optixcare Plus lubricant,  (~$15 a tube, depending on the market value and where it is purchased). I also take Telmisartan to manage my high blood pressure (~$15.00 for 3 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased).   I’m the sweetest boy! I love my humans and to be spoiled by them.  My favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, sun-bathing in the yard, napping during the day, getting belly rubs, and going for car rides and walks in the neighborhood.  I’m generally a pretty mellow type of guy, but I do get zoomies in the backyard, and I like to play fetch, too.  Although I love having company, I also do fine on my own with very little signs of separation anxiety. I’d prefer to be the only animal in the home since I don’t do well around other doggies or kitties.  Older kids (eight and older), though, would be a great fit for me. Basically, as long as I have plenty of time around my people, I will thrive be my best self! "The Animal Pad recognizes that taking in a new dog can pose a challenge to the entire family. Alonso’s adoption package includes a FREE four-week scholarship with our partner Goodpup (https://goodpup.com/). Goodpup offers virtual, individualized training to ensure you, your dog, and your family have the skills needed to thrive together. GoodPup Scholarships include: 4+ weeks of positive reinforcement training 24/7 chat for questions and support Access to a behavior team to assist in advanced cases" Do I sound like two paws up to you? If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1495460##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Personality: Easy going, but gets excited and turns into an energizer bunny at times! Toys and treats keep her settled. Education: Good with bathroom, crate and leash training Favorite Activities: She LOVES tug of war, her favorite thing. She loves walks and just sniffing around. Get her a kong if you need to distract her. Looking For: A home where she can be the only pet with lots of love for herself. Only 16+ years old teens and young adults who can respect her space. Special Needs/Concerns: She is getting a monthly injection of Librela (Cost depends of established vet pricing and dosage, ~$100-$200). She has skin allergies and takes Apoquel ($80.00 for a month’s supply, depending on where purchased and market value). She also takes Carprofen, only as needed (~$10.00 for a couple months supply, depending on where purchased and market value). On a weight loss plan, eating Purina ProPlan OM dry food (~$50-100 for a bag. Price depends on on size purchased, and market value) until she reaches desired weight. Bio: It’s “thyme” to adopt this girl! Hello there! My name is Rosemary, and I’m a 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog Mix female, weighing in at 80 pounds. I’ve come all the way from Ensenada, and I can’t wait to add a pinch of flavor to your life! My foster mama says that I’m such a sweet girl who thrives with love and attention! I love any and all humans and want nothing more than to be around them all day. I also enjoy going on walks and sniffing around. But my favorite thing in the world is playing tug o’ war! I weight loss plan to help me thrive and be healthy at my goal weight of 65 LBS. I am eating Purina ProPlan OM dry food (~$50-100 for a bag. Price depends on on size purchased, and market value). As far as my skills go, I am fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. I’ve already been spayed, too, and I don’t show any signs of separation anxiety when my humans leave. I have an easy-going temperament, but when I get riled up about something, it can be hard to calm me down. Distractions help, though, so be sure to have some toys and treats on-hand to keep me occupied! My health is a work in progress: I have an old fracture to my leg that has semi-healed but that can cause lameness. I receive a monthly injection of Librela (It is the first and only monthly anti-NGF Monoclonal antibody injection to help control pain for canines with Osteoarthritis). If my activity level is higher, and I need additional pain management, I take Carprofen only as needed. I take a joint supplement Dasuquin. I also have skin allergies and am currently on Apoquel. I think I’d do best in an active home, especially one where I’d be the only animal. Kiddos would be tough because of my discomfort, but over 16 year old teens and young adults are fine! Because I love having company, I’d thrive with someone who could be home most of the day. But if not, I do just fine on my own. Either way, I promise to be your greatest companion! Are we a recipe for success? My adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please apply!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Personality: Very working dog like. He gets high anxiety in new situations and thrives with work and training. Education: Good with bathroom and working on leash training. He does best when physical and mental enrichment is completed. Favorite Activities: To play with the other little dog in the house, to be shown affection, likes to have his paw shaken and just be pet. Looking For: An active family that has experience with a smart, workaholic dog and can manage his needs with enrichment and exercise. No cats, and older kids are better. Special Needs/Concerns: Needs anxiety management and enjoys training. Dog selective Bio: Ready for any adventure! Hi, there! My name is Billy aka Kullen, and I’m a 4-year-old, 47-pound Terrier/Border Collie Mix male. I was relinquished by my owner who I’ve lived with since I was 12 weeks old. Now, though, it’s time for a fresh start, and I’m ready to find my furever home! I’m a sweet boy who makes a great companion once I get used to new environments and humans. I love playing with doggie friends who I already know, getting lots of pets, and having my paws shaken. I’m also up for any adventure – the beach, a hike, runs– you name it! As long as I’m with you, I’m happy to be along for the ride. One thing that I’m working on is my high anxiety. Situations, such as new people entering the house or seeing new dogs while on a walk, can make me very anxious and sometimes cause me to be territorial or aggressive. However, true to my breed, I am a working dog, so I get nervous when I don’t have guidance or a job to do. Therefore, I need consistent mental and physical stimulation. If my needs are met, I’ve found I have less energy to become anxious. As far as my training goes, I am fully potty-trained, and although I have gone through formal leash training, I have not yet mastered my leash skills. I am still working on my leash reactivity toward people, dogs, and cars, but I respond well to check-ins and with communication from whoever is handling me. I am dog selective and with proper, slow introductions, I will do well with other calm dogs. Kitties are a big no-no for me because I like to chase them, but I do well with kids once I get used to them. Other than that, I’m in great health and have already been neutered. I would do best in an active home – either with a couple or with a family with kids (8 years and older). I need a strong handler who can provide me with guidance and structure, as well as someone who can continue to invest time into training me and helping me work through my anxiety issues. I would also absolutely thrive in a home that likes to take me on all their adventures – I love to be on the go! Are you The One? My adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please apply!
