Malani is an 9-month-old Heeler-Terrier mix puppy with a heart full of love and energy. Her previous owner had to move and couldn’t take her along, but she’s been thriving with us for the past month. Malani gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is always eager to make new friends. She’s excited about every cat she meets, though she’s still learning how to interact with them gently. Her energy is contagious—she loves meeting new people and brings puppy enthusiasm wherever she goes! Malani enjoys spending time outdoors and is always ready for an adventure or a walk. She’d make the perfect companion for an active family or anyone looking for a fun-loving, adventurous dog!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out !Meet Lucy!  Lucy is a gorgeous Cattle Dog/Husky mix with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. After raising her litter of puppies, she’s now ready to find a forever home where she can soak up all the love and attention she truly deserves. She is around 2 years old and around 40 pounds fully grown. Lucy is looking for her perfect match—an active family with a securely fenced yard, a confident canine companion to show her the ropes, and plenty of patience to help her continue building confidence. Lucy is still learning to feel comfortable outside the house, and having a calm, self-assured dog buddy will help her realize the world isn’t so scary. She’s also practicing enjoying car rides and feels most secure when crated in the car. At home, Lucy shines! She’s incredibly sweet, adores her people, and will happily follow you around like your biggest fan. With her playful energy, she’d thrive in a household that enjoys staying active. She would do well with older kids who wouldn't mind her high energy.  She's content resting in her crate without a peep while you’re away for short periods. Lucy is ready for her forever home—will you be the one to give her the love and care she’s been waiting for? If interested, please fill out an application at www.amazingstraysrescue.org   Her adoption fee is $495 and covers vaccinations, microchip and spay.  https://amazingstraysrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5860  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 27, 2025, 5:47 pm

Story
We rescued Zora from a kill shelter several months ago. She is a very sweet, affectionate, and energetic dog. She will require the opportunity to go on long walks and runs. She's very playful and a wonderful hugger (her fur is soooo soft). She's very young. She was very good at using puppy pads, but has recently become confused as we're trying to train the dogs (we have 7) to go outside. She is very much a pleaser and will (usually) go to her crate when she's told. She loves to play with other doggies, but gets very nippy sometimes and terrorizes our pit bull who doesn't realize she could easily end Zora (and instead jumps in mommy's lap). We'd rather she never find that out. With my husband leaving the home (we are separating), the "alpha" is gone and Zora is now trying to assert dominance. Thus it's best for the other dogs and our preschooler if she lives elsewhere. We will miss her, but she's just too much for one small person to handle along with 6 other doggies.

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Lobo! This handsome boy came into the shelter with another dog and is still getting used to his new surroundings. He may be shy at first, but with a little patience and kindness, he starts to come out of his shell. Lobo would do best in a home that understands his need for a gentle approach and allows him time to build trust. We also think he'd greatly benefit from having another dog in the home to help show him everything is okay! If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little encouragement to shine, Lobo might be the perfect match for you! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: White Weight: 66 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks
