With new people, Holly may seem big and serious at first, but she warms up quickly and shows her gentle, affectionate side. Ice cubes and tasty treats are her absolute favorites and a great way to win her heart!She is great on a leash!! She has not bee around other animals or kids, but her young age and personality suggests she would be ok.She is located in Houston, TX and can be transported to most states for a $300 fee.

A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY CONVERSATION ABOUT ADOPTING FROM OUR ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org AND READ ABOUT THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS (GOOD PHONE INTERVIEW, SECURELY FENCED YARD, FABULOUS REFERENCE FROM YOUR VETERINARIAN AND A HOME VISIT.  I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE A LOT BUT WE SCREEN VERY CAREFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE DOGS.  THEY DESERVE IT! Eleanor is the quintessential fabulous dog from your childhood that is in your heart forever.  We don't know what combination of breeds are in Eleanor and it does not matter.  There is Collie, for sure.  At 64#, she is the right size to put your arms around and hug.  She is gentle and playful and active and cuddly.  She is everything that a family would want to be their lifetime companion.  Eleanor is a healthy and happy 4-year-old spayed female that is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and ready to fall in love.  She lost her home when her family lost their home and had to move to an apartment where life got too complicated.  Ellie has known nothing but love her entire life and we will make sure that continues forever.  As you can see from the photos, she is a straight- forward kiddo.  She will look into your eyes and clear through to your soul.  She is used to being wherever her humans are.  That includes on the couch, in an armchair and tucked into your bed or a nearby dogbed.  She would be sad if she could not be an "armpit dog", that is always that close. She loves men, women and children.  Great with other dogs and cats.  Housebroken.  A little anxious in the car, at least initially.  Good heavens!  What else could anyone want??
