I am the silliest and friendliest of boys! I love to run and can do agility pretty well! I have a lot of energy but I can do some tricks and I take redirection well. I'd really like it if you could rub my belly! I love dogs and squeaky toys .. and sometimes I think I'm a lap dog. I love walks and I love running around in a fenced in backyard. Fun fact: I'm longer than I look in photos which makes me look like a dragon body with a cute, Aussie dog head!fill out application - https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=nh0734&method=online_form_html&formid=17

Story
Meet Odin, a powerful name for a smart, energetic dog who knows what he likes. This handsome guy is very treat-motivated, already knows sit, and loves chasing balls, making him a fun partner for training and interactive play. Odin walks decently on leash and would truly shine in a home with plenty of space where he can stretch his legs, burn energy, and enjoy doing his own thing. Like his namesake, Odin is selective about his inner circle. He would do best in a cat-free home. He can be cautious with new people and may bark at strangers, so he’s looking for a confident, experienced adopter who understands how to build trust and provide calm, consistent guidance. In the right hands, Odin will reward patience with loyalty and a strong bond—ideal for someone seeking a devoted companion rather than a social butterfly. Story
Hi there! I`m Ruxin, the perfect gentleman. My foster mom has brought me to lots of places with her, and we`ve met so many people --everyone from toddlers to grandparents and other dogs big and small --and I`m polite around everyone!I`m housebroken, know some basic commands, and have a nice moderate energy level with a love for walks. I`m great in the car and very calm around other dogs, even when they`re loud or reactive. I can be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, but I warm upquickly once I feel comfortable. I love being around my people, but I`m also happy to relax on my own. Plus, I`m very well behaved in thehouse when left alone. My favorite things include hanging out with my people, lounging in my dog bed, walks, and lazing on the back deck in the sunshine -- allwith a side of Havarti cheese. Sometimes I get excited and try to sneak out the front door behind my foster mom & dad, so you should be careful and make sure I stay inside unless I`m on a leash! Can`t wait to meet you!xo,RuxinP.S. My foster mom would happily keep me forever, but my foster dad says then they wouldn`t be able to foster anyone else.P.P.S. I qualify for Welcome Trial, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to see if we`re the perfect match before makingthings official. With the right home, patience, and love, I`ll be a loyal, clever companion who`s ready to be by your side and enjoy somecuddles.

Story
Tweety is a cattle dog (likely mixed with a Smooth Coat Collie), which basically means she’s equal parts brilliant, busy, and always three steps ahead of everyone in the room. If there’s a job to do, Tweety has already done it… and improved it. Right now, Tweety is training in our Beyond The Bars program, where she’s channeling all that lively puppy energy and sharp intelligence into focus, structure, and partnership. She’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh one minute and say “how did you even figure that out?!” the next — constantly observing, learning, and engaging with everything and everyone around her. Whether she’s zipping through training exercises, locking eyes with her handler like she’s solving a puzzle, or soaking up a quiet moment of connection, Tweety is showing just how much potential she has. The puppy in her means her attention span is simiar to a gnat - lol - but when she's focused, she's really focused! June 8, 2026, 12:20 am

Story
Summer is an 8 month old female Australian Cattle Dog mix, and is a shy, gentle and super sweet pup who is SO deserving of her forever home. Although listed as a Cattle Dog, she has the beautiful looks and size of a fox, and is almost as timid as one also. When new people approach, she often retreats to the back of her pen, watching quietly with cautious curiosity. It’s easy to understand why - she and her siblings were brought into the shelter as puppies, and life hasn’t yet shown her all the kindness she deserves.  But with a little patience, gentle words, and a few soft treats, Summer begins to open up - and when she does, it’s pure magic. She gives hopeful smiles, wags her tail, and her whole face lights up with affection. Beneath her timidity lies a deeply loving spirit, one that’s just waiting for someone to believe in her. Summer is the kind of dog who captures your heart with her quiet sweetness, the kind you can’t help but want to protect and nurture. She is so deserving of a loving home, where she can finally know what it’s like to be a cherished member of a family. Give her that, and she will fill your life with love, gratitude, and joy beyond measure. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA.
