Story
A FUN, SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 27 lbs. and needs to gain some weight Hi, my name’s Kirby!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am so grateful for the love and good care I am receiving from the volunteers.  I heard that it’s time for me to find my furever home, and that makes me soooo happy!  I am currently in the prison/foster training program off-site waiting for you and learning a lot! Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to see when I’m able to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and loved them! I was doing spins, jumping, and playing my heart out with them.  I was also a bit vocal during play. If you have a nice doggie at home who might enjoy a playmate, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a happy, handsome guy with a fun and friendly nature.  Playful and sweet, I am eager to see people and show my excitement with lots of tail wags.  I’ve still got a good bit of young doggie in me, as I can be jumpy and a little mouthy when I play, but I’m working on that with my trainer.  I am sure to be a fun addition to a lucky family!  My energy level is 5 - 7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ commands and look forward to learning even more. I’m learning my leash now, and my trainer is working with me on my weaving.  Once I master that, I bet we can enjoy some fun walks together. Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like toys and look forward to lots of play sessions with you and other fun adventures! We can discover lots of things we like doing together. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a loving home with great furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  April 26, 2024, 10:50 am

Story
Lexi is a 9 month old Border Collie mix! Lexi came to us with her sister, Meredith, who has recently been adopted. Lexi loves to run and play outside! She also enjoys squeaky toys a lot! Lexi would love to find a family with a yard for her to run and play in! She did come in with another dog, but we always suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in the home. Lexi is very sweet and seems to have a more docile personality than most her age. Of course, this could change once she is comfortable in a home setting. Lexi is very loving and playful and she cannot wait to find her chance at furever! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.April 25, 2024, 2:50 pm
