Story
Lexi is a 9 month old Border Collie mix! Lexi came to us with her sister, Meredith, who has recently been adopted. Lexi loves to run and play outside! She also enjoys squeaky toys a lot! Lexi would love to find a family with a yard for her to run and play in! She did come in with another dog, but we always suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in the home. Lexi is very sweet and seems to have a more docile personality than most her age. Of course, this could change once she is comfortable in a home setting. Lexi is very loving and playful and she cannot wait to find her chance at furever! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.April 25, 2024, 2:50 pm

Story
The best word to describe Frank the border collie is “spaz”. He has his days where he’s full of energy and runs all day and also days where he just wants to lie around. Some days, he’s a cuddler and some days antisocial. He’s had all his shots and is neutered. I’ve owned Frank since he was 10 months old. Unfortunately, his recent behavior is not the best for our family. He can be very food and treat aggressive toward other dogs. I hate to lose a family member but our one year old is now very mobile and all over the place. As such, I’m doing what’s necessary to prevent him from getting hurt. He’s never bit or hurt any of his humans but it’s still kind of nerve racking. He has acted out on his food aggression on two other dogs (a male and a female) but has been fed separately since. Frank needs to be in a home without children or other animals. Hopefully I can find him a new home.

Story
Castiel was adopted in 2018 from Fulton County Animal Shelter. In 2022 we had to rehome Cas due to moving/space issues. Cas suffered an injury to his front paw/shoulder under the new family's care and was left to heal/fend for himself. Months later he was dumped at a vet where they called us and informed us of his condition. He walks/runs ok now and lives a normal life We have 3 other dogs and are expecting our first child therefore we are unable to continue to care for him.. He cannot be in a home with other dogs due to his food/resource-guarding issues. He would do best in a home with no other pets. Cas is super playful and loves the outdoors. He loves walks but can't go far without needing a break due to his old injuries. Cas loves belly rubs and getting all the attention. Castiel deserves a second chance and I hope you would consider taking in and giving him that chance.

Spirit is a sweetheart.  He was originally adopted from BullyWag back in 2018.  Moved to Texas with his fur sister Roo.  They were picked up as strays and owner was notified via his microchip but did not want them back.  BullyWag was able to take him and his sister Roo.  His birthday is estimated to be Nov 2017. ##1208037##

Story
Meet beautiful Luna! She was surrendered to the shelter along with her bestie, Nala, on 4/9 because their family is moving and also adding a baby. We're sad that these two lovely girls aren't able to join their family on this new adventure. Their former family did say that these girls are great with kids! They need more work on house training, but they're young and will learn quickly. The volunteers describe Luna and Nala as friendly, affectionate, curious, and playful. They're everything puppies should be! If you have the time and energy to add a puppy to your family, please come meet Luna and Nala! Luna is 8 months old, and she weighs 45 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Luna is waiting in run 850; her ID # is 656807. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an apt., go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. Or you can just stop by during business hours. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an apt., it does not reserve a particular pet for you.
