Silas is ready for his forever home in the Kansas City area! Just look at him! He has the most amazing eyes and the prettiest coat. He's around 3 years old and 30 lbs. Perfect size! He's never had an accident in the house, is crate trained, and doesn't chew on anything. He's so sweet and snuggly. He came from a hoarding situation, so he's a little slow to warm up. It doesn't take him long though! He has gotten comfortable with everyone in my house. He's figured out how much he loves cuddling up next to his people at night too. I haven't had him around smaller kids yet, so I'm not sure what he thinks. He's never been aggressive in any situation. Other dogs don't bother him at all. He has no reaction when meeting a new dog friend. He likes being near other pups. He'll sleep up against mine, but hasn't really played with them. I'm not sure he knows how yet. Hopefully that will come! He is slowly collecting toys and storing them in his crate though! He could make a great companion for an older dog that's lower on energy. When he first got here, he would just freeze on a leash. We've been working on it and now he walks right next to me. He'll stop and watch if something gets his attention, but he is doing so much better! He's a great car rider too. The shelter he came from told us he has a broken toe. He has seen an orthopedic vet and they determined nothing needs to be done with it. He doesn't seem to be in any pain and walks fine. Silas is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, current on preventatives and microchipped. Story
A woman who we don’t know other than her unfortunate circumstances had Gus since he was born March 10, 2018. He’s 8 years old. She was going to have to give him to a shelter b/c she lost her job & home & couldn’t keep him anymore. I couldn’t stand the thought of him going to a shelter so i took him thinking i could find him a home. My husband & i travel A LOT & so we can’t keep him. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to. He’s obedient, is mainly an indoor dog, is cuddly, obedient, house trained, & the vet says he has great teeth & is in good health. He did great with the vet & groomer. No muzzle or sedation needed. I don’t know how he would do with children because we haven’t had him around any. He doesn’t like thunder storms. He’s great with cats because he lived with one in his 8 year home. He’s absolutely beautiful. His previous owner said he was part Husky and Australian healer. He looks like he has some collie too. I really hope we can find him a final home & i hope you can help.
