Story
Allegra!  What a beautiful sounding name!  And what does it mean? And why did her foster give her the name Allegra?  Because it describes this beautiful pup so well!  Joyful, Happy, Active!!!  Our Allegra is a Collie/Lab mix who wears her short black and white coat so well that people stop just to look at her!  Allegra is around 4 months old and, although she presently weighs between 20 and 25 pounds now, she’ll mature to between 50 and 60 pounds.  She gets along well with other dogs, kids, and her foster’s cat! Allegra!  What a wonderful girl!  (posted 1/23/24, TN)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  May 11, 2024, 8:41 pm

Quinten is a very loveable boy who was abused in his very short life. so he does have a bite history. A familiy with no small children or other animals will be best for this boy..He's a loving loyal dog once he settles in Needs a single family home because he becomes protective of his owners He must have a leaded, someone that shows authority. He will need to adjust slowly as of his abused history please give Quinten a chance

Story
Meet our beautiful girl Lady.  she is just 40 lbs and two years old.  she is so pretty with her tan, white and brown coloring and her white boots on each leg    She loes to snuggle when its time to relax at night but during the day enjoys her walks with her people and hanging outside.    She has the cutest little overbite which makes her more endearing. Lady is good with other dogs and is currently in a foster home with them.  Sometimes she does play a little rough and the other dogs do not love it and she needs to be corrected but she is never aggressive to them..  We feel she would do best in a home without kitties, she seems  a bit too interested in them.   Lady is housebroken and will hold it forever and is also crate trained.   She would need a yard to run around and get her energy off.  She would do best in a home with no small kids due to her energy level.   We feel that if a child opened a door, she also may run out the door if given an opportunity.    Lady is nervous around loud noises and takes her a little while to get used to them.  She is also protective of her home and when new people come in, she will bark at them to let them know she is there and its her house too.Lady is very sweet and loving.  She wants more than anything to be a good girl and make you happy.  She needs someone who is patient with her and willing to let her get comfortable in her new home.  She loves attention but on her terms. If you would like more information about her, please fill out an application on our website.bcaaofnj.orgInterested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Between May 1st and 15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $25! Meet Capri! Capri is a playful energetic and social 1 year old Collie/Terrier/Pit Bull mix! Capri loves to play outside with her four fur-foster siblings. She LOVES playtime, so furry companions who can keep up with her playful puppy nature are preferred! Other than that, Capri has been the perfect house guest! She's crate trained, house trained, and sleeps through the night, but is an excellent watchdog. She will bark to alert you if a person or another pup is approaching. Exercise is a must for this little lady! She is completely leash trained and loves going on walks with her foster family. As far as new friends go, Capri warms up quickly and absolutely loves to be pet endlessly. Capri would make an excellent companion for just about any family or household! She can't wait to meet you! Capri is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $425. All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
