Story
Calling all confident resident dogs who want their owners to adopt their next bestie. Now 7 months old and around 30 pounds, Patriot has been growing into quite the handsome guy, and as he gets older, we’re thinking this fluffy boy may actually be more of a Border Collie mix than the Great Pyrenees mix we originally assumed from our partner shelter! One thing hasn’t changed though: he’s still a world class cuddle bug who thinks he’s lap dog sized. Patriot loves slow sniffy walks, rolling in the grass, cozy naps, and learning with his foster dad. When he’s in the middle of learning something new he stares at his foster dad with these big, understanding, know it all eyes that just melt your heart . He’s house trained, crate trained, gentle, and is making wonderful progress learning the ropes of being a family dog. He already knows “sit” and “find it” and is working on commands like “down,” “wait,” and “place.” Loud city noises and new experiences can make him nervous, but every single day he gets a little braver. Watching his confidence grow has been one of the sweetest things! His dream home includes a confident, well-trained, medium energy dog who can show him that the world isn’t so scary. He absolutely lights up around social dogs and would thrive with a canine role model to help him continue building confidence. ##2773019##

Story
MATILDA WAS LEFT AT A CHURCH… DON’T LET THAT BE THE END OF HER STORY 💔 🚨 Someone left her at a church door… and walked away. No name. No explanation. No one coming back. Now Matilda sits in a loud, scary shelter trying to make sense of it all… wondering why she was left behind. She’s about 6 years old and only 25 pounds—a tiny, gentle soul who never asked for any of this. And here’s the truth about her: ✨ Once she’s out of the kennel, she is soft, affectionate, and loving ✨ She just wants to be close to someone ✨ Quiet, docile, and incredibly sweet ✨ Dog that will bond deeply once she feels safe She’s nervous in the kennel… but that’s not who she is. That’s fear. That’s heartbreak. 💔 She is not broken—she is just scared and needs someone to show her she’s safe again. Dogs like Matilda don’t do well in shelters… and they don’t get much time. 🙏 PLEASE — Matilda needs a calm, loving home ASAP. Give her the second chance she never got. Because being abandoned shouldn’t be how her story ends. PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152

Story
Tony is a handsome, medium-sized, four-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as his smile. Charming, playful, and incredibly affectionate, he’s the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes—both canine and human. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share walks, road trips, cozy evenings, and everyday life, Tony is ready to be by your side. Tony is confident, curious, and adapts beautifully to new environments, including busy city life. He’s eager to learn, especially when treats are involved, making training fun and rewarding. He’s crate trained, food motivated, and loves spending time with his people, whether you’re exploring a new trail or relaxing on the couch after a long day. Sadly, Tony’s life changed overnight when he was surrendered because his family was moving and couldn’t take him with them. Confused and heartbroken, he didn’t understand why the people he loved were gone. Thanks to the patience and kindness of his caregivers and volunteers, Tony has found his joyful spirit again. Today, he’s back to being the happy, loving, tail-wagging boy he was always meant to be. Now all he needs is someone who will love him forever. Tony would thrive in a home where he can enjoy daily walks, playtime, plenty of affection, and, most importantly, be treated as a cherished member of the family. His loving nature, friendly personality, and zest for life make him a wonderful match for many different homes. Tony is fully vetted: • Neutered • Fully vaccinated • 4 DX Tested • Dewormed • On monthly Simparica for flea and tick prevention • Microchipped Most exciting of all, Tony has the opportunity to travel to New York this September if we find him a loving adopter or foster-to-adopt family ready to welcome him. Could you be the happy ending Tony has been waiting for? Apply today at www.sosanimalwelfare.org or email sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com to learn more. Help us give this incredible boy the forever home he deserves. Once you meet Tony, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him. ❤️
