Story
UPDATED 10/22/24 Oliver is a 64 pound, male border collie / Aussie mix. Born 7-9-23. He was adopted by his owner as a puppy and just became too much for her to handle because of her own health issues and due to his size/breed and living in an apartment. She made the difficult decision to surrender him and we are learning more about him now that he’s in a foster home. His foster mom tells us he is a wonderful dog! He sleeps through the night in his crate and loves it. He is enjoying going on walks and playing with the other two dogs in his foster home. Ollie is house trained and crate trained. He loves to play with his toys and can play fetch for an hour. He also likes interactive games! He is very, very smart. We recommend a home with a fenced yard due to his playful nature and need for exercise. Another playful dog would be a plus! Ollie is a lover! He loves giving kisses and hugs! Overall, he is a very playful, loving, and smart dog ! He would do best in a family with children who are 10 years or older due to his larger size. He’s doing very well on his walks. He is pulling a bit and will need more leash training. We were told he sometimes gets car sick. If you are interested in adopting Ollie, please complete an adoption application that can be found on our website at: https://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/adoptables.html

Story
Hi there! I'm Tuesday, and I'm on the lookout for my forever home! If you're interested in adopting me or just want to learn more, please reach out to Rachael at 440-773-0270 to set up a meet-and-greet. Here's a bit about me: Housebroken: I'll let you know when I need to go outside by ringing bells or giving you a nudge. Crate-trained: I'm comfortable in my crate, especially if I have some treat-filled toys to keep me occupied. I might get a bit too excited with the toys, though, so it's best to use them mainly when I'm in the crate. Free-roaming: I'm trusted to stay out of the crate now! While my foster mom is at work, I enjoy napping, watching squirrels, or playing with my toys. Quick learner: I know commands like sit, down, stay, come, shake paw, no-jump, and off. I'm still working on heeling, but I can do it on either side. I understand "okay as a cue to relax. Toy lover: I enjoy a variety of toys-fetching them, bringing them to you, or just playing by myself. Active and athletic: Whether it's walking, jogging, or running, I'm up for it! If you prefer a quieter activity, I love running around a yard. Car rides: I'm a pro at car rides and enjoy trips to different places, like the Metro Park. Snuggly: Once I get to know you, I'm all about cuddles and giving kisses! Social skills: I'm working on meeting new dogs. I can be a bit nervous at first, but I warm up quickly. Especially to younger dogs that are respectful. Special needs: I'd be happiest in a home without other animals or a younger dog that will give me time to warm up. I do think I would rather not live with small kids because I don't really like to share my food and toys. If I sound like a good fit for you, get in touch with Rachael at 440-773-0270 to arrange a meeting. I can't wait to meet you and see if we're a perfect match!

Story
TEDDY 4YRS 30LBS MALE AUS CATTLE DOG LISA 2YR 20 LBS FEMALE MIX MUST HAVE ACD/HERDING BREED EXPERIENCE BONDED PAIR-Ever wanted a dog for you and a dog for your sig other but were afraid of clashing personalities? Well, not here because these two love each other, a LOT, so at least you know they get along perfectly and there is one for each of you. 2x the love!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And man, are they CUTE!) They travel often in the car with me for over an hour at a time - they do ride crated. Load up easy and ride quietly- unless we go through a drive through then Lisa has opinions about what she wants too. She likes to play ball, but not as intense as Teddy and will just let him get it and go find something else to do. They play and wrestle with each other and other dogs. Not overly rough but will get on ground with each other. They love to run laps in the yard chasing each other. They leave my uninterested dogs alone, as there is always someone else to play with. Lisa did not get along with my 1 male foster - just a little 10 pounder . Not sure who to started the war, but I did not leave them loose with each other * no actual fight/injury/contact ever occured. There was alot of noise 1 time, and they would grumble at each other when passing by each other's crates/run at work. Teddy is pretty easy going but doesn't like to be corrected. He will get bossy -verbal and pin someone who tries to But a sharp HEY from me and he will stop and walk away * never has been a fight or injury. Loves to play fetch and the other dogs do not challenge him to get the ball away from him. He would definitely destroy a stuffed toy if given the chance. They both love to chew on antlers/ nylabones/Benebone etc Teddy is a super cuddler and happy to hang on the couch or bed. Lisa loves attention too but takes a bit more to settle down at first. Both settle quickly and Quietly in a crate. They are both jumpers and when seeking attention. They have gotten better, but would need to be reminded of their manners going forward. We do not require a fenced BUT they would need a secure area to be able to run in and burn off energy weekly. Crate trained and housebroken   This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been heartworm tested (negative) and on prevention.  The adoption fee is $400.00 for the pair. Story
SAMJAMM MALE 10 MONTHS OLD PARTIALLY BLIND Sam was given away to a neighbor by his original owner because they were moving at the end of the week. He was too much energy for the women's current older chihuahua. His foster noticed right away they something seemed off about his sight. He can see enough to avoid big object, but is mostly blind. He has picked up on the routine very quickly and know where his crate is and the doors to go outside. He gets along with the other dogs and lives to run and play with them.
