Story
To meet Tuesday, contact Rachael at 440-773-0270 Hi! I'm Tuesday, and I'm hoping someone will adopt me! I'd been in the shelter for quite a while, so in March 2024, I was placed in a foster home so that I could remember what "home was like, and feel the freedom of running and playing in a backyard. If it would help you decide, I'm "all ears if you have any questions at the meet-and-greet! Here's what I know about myself: I'm housebroken! I know how to ring bells or nudge you if I need to go potty. I'm crate-trained! I especially don't mind going into my crate if I have a couple of treat-filled toys to occupy myself when I'm told to "go to the crate. Sometimes I get too excited with treat-filled toys, or want them all to myself, so it might be best to just use them if I'm in the crate. I don't even have to be in a crate! Once my foster mom got to know me, she let me out of the crate on a gradual basis, and then for full days while she was at work. While she's gone, I sleep, watch for squirrels in the backyard, or play with my toys. I'm a fast learner! I know a few commands: stop, sit, down, stay, come, shake paw, no-jump, and off (sometimes I get too excited to see someone come home!). I'm used to being told to "sit before eating from my food dish. Although I'm still working on heeling, I can heel on the left or the right. I know that when I'm told "okay, I can relax from a command. I love toys! Sometimes I enjoy bringing them to you, sometimes I like fetching them, but sometimes I like taking a toy and being by myself for a while. I enjoy watching birds and squirrels! I like chasing squirrels too! I'm athletic, and I love to accompany someone who's walking, jogging, or running. If you're not into that, my favorite activity happens to be running as fast as I can around a yard. I love going for car rides! I'm outside on a regular basis with my foster mom, either around the neighborhood, or hopping in the car for a road trip into the Metro Park, so I've also gotten used to a lot of different environments while on a leash. I love snuggling once I get to know someone! I know what "kisses means, so I'm happy to offer those too once I get to know someone. I've also been working with my foster mom on meeting other dogs and other people when we're out on the trails. Sometimes I'm nervous meeting new people, but once I get to know someone, I'm very happy to be with them!

Story
Meet Arrow! Arrow was born December 4, 2023 and is 6 months old. This little guy is handsome – black and white with all the speckles. Arrow is a mix of spitz, border collie and Mountain Feist. He should remain on the smaller side, less than 35 pounds, when fully grown. Arrow arrived to The Rescue Inn (TRI) in March with his sisters. He’s in foster care now with dogs of all different sizes. Arrow would love a home with other dogs that won’t be offended by his energetic nature and puppy antics. Arrow is looking for an energetic family that will cherish his spunk and will be active with him. A fenced in yard would be perfect for this boy to run around in. Arrow would make a great running or walking partner. Arrow will continue to blossom with guidance and boundaries. He is crate trained and potty trained. Contact TRI at therescueinn@gmail.com or (216) 369-9141 for more information!

5/12/2024 Update: Coops continues his brave battle with cancer. Only one person has cared enough to send him food and badly needed supplements. But that is the new world we now live in, no one cares and sick rescue dogs are at the bottom of the list. SPONSORS ARE NEEDED TO HELP GIVE COOPER LONGER TO LIVE WITH A QUALITY OF LIFE. COOPER IS FIGHTING CANCER AND NEEDS YOUR HELP. Cooper has presented with Oral Melanoma, July 2023. He has a large tumor growing in his jawline. This affects his ability to eat. He needs soft food and supplements that you can sponsor for him. He also needs surgery for tumor removal and partial jaw removal. Radiation treatments and supportive natural medicines and treatments. To be a life-saving sponsor for Cooper, email: IndianSummersRezQ@gmail.com for a list of help needed. There is no gift too small everything helps and if you are unable or not wanting to support Cooper with monetary or needed supply contributions then could you please offer up a prayer for this wonderful dog. Prayer and caring is a Great Healer. I know, first hand, I have been fighting my own cancer for many years. 4th Stage Terminal and I'm still here, still trying to help others like Cooper. My prayers are for every body fighting cancer, let us pray for one another in hopes that are prayers will be answered. Blessings and Thanks, Hope Summers ISBCRezQers

Story
Fenris “Fen” was born in our home. We rescued his mother and his known to us, she was pregnant. She has 8 puppies including Fen. He listens well. He is housebroken and crate trained. He can sit, stay, and roll over. He loves balls, toys, and treats. He is neutered. His birthday is May 11, 2022. He is a big boy, I think he weighs about 65 pounds right now. We are rehoming him because he and our other dog (his mother) don’t get along great. She does not like other dogs (she loves her humans). I think she has been tolerant of him since he was born, but I think they’d both be happier apart. I think the easiest transition for Fen would be to join a single person or small family with no pets or pets that are relaxed. Thank you!

Story
TEDDY 3YRS 30LBS MALE AUS CATTLE DOG LISA 1YR 20 LBS FEMALE MIX MUST HAVE ACD/HERDING BREED EXPERIENCE BONDED PAIR-Ever wanted a dog for you and a dog for your sig other but were afraid of clashing personalities? Well, not here because these two love each other, a LOT, so at least you know they get along perfectly and there is one for each of you. 2x the love!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And man, are they CUTE!) They travel often in the car with me for over an hour at a time - they do ride crated. Load up easy and ride quietly- unless we go through a drive through then Lisa has opinions about what she wants too. She likes to play ball, but not as intense as Teddy and will just let him get it and go find something else to do. They play and wrestle with each other and other dogs. Not overly rough but will get on ground with each other. They love to run laps in the yard chasing each other. They leave my uninterested dogs alone, as there is always someone else to play with. Lisa did not get along with my 1 male foster - just a little 10 pounder . Not sure who to started the war, but I did not leave them loose with each other * no actual fight/injury/contact ever occured. There was alot of noise 1 time, and they would grumble at each other when passing by each other's crates/run at work. Teddy is pretty easy going but doesn't like to be corrected. He will get bossy -verbal and pin someone who tries to But a sharp HEY from me and he will stop and walk away * never has been a fight or injury. Loves to play fetch and the other dogs do not challenge him to get the ball away from him. He would definitely destroy a stuffed toy if given the chance. They both love to chew on antlers/ nylabones/Benebone etc Teddy is a super cuddler and happy to hang on the couch or bed. Lisa loves attention too but takes a bit more to settle down at first. Both settle quickly and Quietly in a crate. They are both jumpers and when seeking attention. They have gotten better, but would need to be reminded of their manners going forward. We do not require a fenced BUT they would need a secure area to be able to run in and burn off energy weekly. Crate trained and housebroken   This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been heartworm tested (negative) and on prevention.  The adoption fee is $400.00 for the pair. Story
We took in four Australian Shepherd puppies from an 'accidental litter' We were told they were born mid March. (but seem slightly older - thinking early Feb)2 males Alfie & Asa 'Ace-uh', and 2 females Arla and Abily. They are new to us and we are just getting them started on life skills. Doing great in the crate, ride quietly in the car (crated), used to the leash now, and working on housebreaking and socializing to the outside world. The boys met a cat at the vet clinic today and didn't even acknowledge it's existence. Alfie is the smallest of them all weighing in at 21 pounds, and is outgoing. He can be shy at first but warms up quickly. Loves ro play with the other dogs in the yard, and follows them around for the daily routine. Asa is more shy and cautious. He saw I child at the vet clinic and was very nervous about her. He is sweet and wags his tail when you pet and give attention, but is too nervous to approach you at first. This animal is current on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and spay/neuter scheduled appointment for July 25th. They have also been given flea prevention. Adoption fee is $350.00. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application. www.ajssearchandrescue.org/adoption-applicationJuly 19, 2024, 6:05 am
