Story
PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED JoJo is a beautiful, young gal of just 2 years old looking for a new beginning after losing her beloved owner. JoJo came in with her sister DeeDee and we have found they do not need to be adopted together. She loves to play with other dogs, but would need a bigger dog as her canine sibling due to her high energy and the bit of pushiness she possesses. If she does not have a sibling, she will need an adopter who is home more often. Being young and very active, she will require a family or human to match her energy. She absolutely loves to play and will make an excellent candidate for sports like agility, rally, etc. JoJo knows “leave it” like a pro but does need consistency with her obedience training and direction. She is very smart and wants to please her humans but sometimes that young brain has other ideas. Consistency will be key to her success. JoJo is gentle, affectionate, and full of love to give. She greets everyone with kind eyes and wagging tails, always eager for a kind word or a soft touch. While she will need a little patience and practice with their leash manners, her willingness to please shines through in everything she does. JoJo has so much heart and happiness to share. She is so ready to fill a home with warmth, loyalty and the quiet joy that only comes from being loved – and giving love back. If JoJo strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if JoJo is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. JoJo is being fostered in PA If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you.

Story
6 FOOT FENCE REQUIRED Meet Remi 7-year-old Rough Collie girl. Mahogany Remi is a one-of-a-kind collie with her own soundtrack and absolutely no interest in following anyone else’s rhythm. She is fiercely independent, proudly opinionated, and fully convinced the world works best when she is in charge. Remi loves to communicate and is well known for her long, deep, meaningful conversations with her person. If you talk back, she will happily keep the discussion going. She is a true conversationalist who enjoys engaging with her people. Remi can live with small dogs, but she must be the queen. She is not looking to share leadership and prefers to rule her domain with confidence and dignity. Although undeniably a diva, Remi only tolerates light, gentle grooming. She prefers minimal fuss. Being her own biggest fan, she has forgotten some basic manners over time, so remedial training is a must. With patience and consistency, she has the potential to do very well. A secure yard is required, as loud noises can frighten her. She startles easily and needs a safe, contained space where she can feel secure. Remi would do best with an experienced adopter who appreciates a strong-willed, talkative dog, can provide structure and training, and offers a calm home with secure fencing. She is not for everyone, but for the right person, Remi will be a memorable and engaging companion. If Remi strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Remi is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. In the Prison Dog Program Meet Damian!! He came in as a stray on 11/16/25, and we think he’s about 3 years old. This is actually his second time here—he was adopted from us in 2023. We aren't sure why his owner hasn’t come in to pick him up, but what we do know is that Damian is ready to start fresh with someone who truly sees his sparkle. Damian is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky guy who just needs someone who can help him channel all that enthusiasm into fun, love, and adventure. He is super sweet, incredibly friendly, and he gives the kind of gentle kisses that melt your heart on contact. He already knows how to sit and shake, and he’s eager to learn more—especially if treats are involved! He is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet this lovable boy who’s hoping his next home is his forever one. Damian is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH Phone: 419-774-5892 It is an application process. You can request one via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

In the Prison Dog Program ⚡ Meet Apollo!! ⚡ (Also known as The Flash… probably.) Zoom! Whoosh! Blink and you might miss him — it’s Apollo, the four-legged superhero with speed powers and zero off-switch. He came in as a stray on 12/26/25, and we think he’s about a year old. One look at this handsome guy and you’ll notice his super-cool eyes: one bright blue, and the other a striking mix of blue and brown. Clearly, superhero genetics at work. Apollo is a certified wild child in the best way possible. He’s always on the go, always ready for action, and powered entirely by enthusiasm, squeaky toys, and love for people. When he’s not racing around like he’s saving the city, he’s soaking up attention and showing just how sweet and friendly he is. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic sidekick who will keep life exciting and never let boredom win, Apollo is your guy. 🦸‍♂️💨 He is available for adoption, so hurry in before he speeds off to his forever home!
