PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED Say hello to Simon! This 2-year-old Sable & White Rough Collie boy is just as busy as he is beautiful. He’s looking for a forever family to go adventuring through life with him. Simon is very people-oriented and is a confirmed cuddle bug, too! He also does well around cats and kids. Simon has especially enjoyed being a part of the pack in his foster home, and as long as he’s fed separately so he doesn’t worry about another pup stealing his food, he does great around other dogs. Simon loves “ruff-housing” with his puppy pals, so we think that he really needs to have a spirited dog sibling (or two!) to provide lots of opportunities for playtime. Speaking of playing, Simon also loves getting his energy out by bounding around outdoors! He does have to have a physical fence at his forever home to make sure that he doesn’t get lost or stray too far from home. Simon is already house- and crate-trained, and he’s been easy to train so far because he listens to directions and is eager to please. We’re sure that with some more time and effort, he’ll be a perfectly proper Collie in no time! He’s also working on packing on some healthy pounds, and we know that he’ll reach his goal weight as he continues to eat a nutritious diet. If you’re looking for a fun-loving young lad to join you on all your adventures, Simon just might be the perfect pup for you! Fill out an Adoption Application for him today! Even if the dog that you’re interested in has already been adopted, please complete our online Adoption Application to tell us what you’re looking for in a new canine family member. We have lots of Collies coming into rescue, and we'll do our best to find your best match with another available pup, or with one who enters our program in the future. Simon is being fostered in Tenn. If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you

These fox-eared cuties are ready for their forever homes! They’re young and full of life, but we have to warn you: They’re sure to steal your heart—and maybe a sock or two! Whether you want a walking buddy, riding buddy, or just a couch buddy, these pups are it! Collies are loyal and eager to please, and they absolutely adore people. With a little patience and a lot of love, each one of these puppers will make a great addition to any family. Having lived with other dogs, Sassy is curious when meeting new ones and adapts based on their cues. He also gets along well with cats. Outside, he happily plays in the yard and tries to engage other dogs in games. Sassy recently experienced his first professional grooming session, where he behaved perfectly and loved the attention. Buddy will need a physical fence and another dog sibling in his new home.   When Buddy met his foster collie brothers, he was calm and happy. Physical fence needed This 2 year old tri-colored Collie/Great Pyrenees mix is learning to live inside a warm home. He is housebroken, and his foster family has taught him his name and the commands “come,” “stay,” “sit” and “paw.” Living inside a home is new to him after living outside for most of his life. Due to this Lance tested positive for heartworm when he arrived at the rescue. He will need a little extra care as he undergos heartworm treatment (which will be covered in full by AHDRO). He'll need a family committed to following the vet's advice and providing the care and medication he will require till he recovers. His fosters describe him as adorably sweet and working on properly greeting guests and leash walking. Using treats as a motivation, Lance is making daily progress. Inside his foster home, Lance is playful, alert, and enjoys looking out the window. A physical fenced yard is required for Lance which he loves exploring and chasing squirrels. His inquisitive personality makes him very attentive to his surroundings and eager to learn new things. He will make a great addition to a loving home.Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.April 12, 2024, 9:20 am
