Story
🌟 Meet Noir — A True Diamond Noir’s life could have changed in an instant. She was rescued just moments before she wandered onto a high-speed highway—frightened, trembling, and unsure of the world around her. After she was brought to safety, we searched and waited, hoping someone would come for her—hoping she had been missed. But no one ever did. Still, Noir was never invisible to us. From the beginning, she showed us who she truly is: gentle, kind, loving, and absolutely beautiful. Noir is not a diamond in the rough—she is a true diamond. She does not need to become wonderful; she already is. She does not need to transform into something special; she is already special, just as she is. What Noir needs now is a family who sees her clearly and loves her fully. At between 1 and 2 years old and about 45 pounds, she has a soft heart, a sweet spirit, and an amazing ability to connect with the people and animals around her. She loves people, is good with children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is respectful with the cats in her foster home. There is something quietly radiant about Noir. She does not ask for much—just kindness, comfort, and someone who understands that a tender soul deserves to be treasured. 💛 The Home Noir Dreams Of Noir would thrive in a home that is gentle, loving, and steady—a place where she can feel secure, be cherished, and continue to enjoy the simple joys of family life. She is healthy, vaccinated, and spayed, and she is ready for someone to recognize the wonderful dog she already is. She does not need someone to fix her. She needs someone to recognize the wonderful dog already standing in front of them: a sweet, sensitive, loving girl with so much beauty to share. If you have been waiting for a dog with a gentle heart, a kind nature, and a soul that shines, Noir may be the one. Story
Meet Melina! Melina is a beautiful 8-month-old Collie/Shepherd mix, approximately 50 pounds. She is looking for a forever family to adore her. She is playful, affectionate, full of puppy love, and truly remarkable in the way she brings joy to everyone she meets. She is also a very smart young dog who is eager to learn, connect, and be part of the fun. Her résumé is pretty impressive: she is great with dogs, good with cats, loves people, and is absolutely awesome with gentle children. Melina has a bright, engaging personality and a wonderful ability to make people smile. She has also mastered the highly sophisticated technique of rolling onto her back until someone provides belly rubs, proving she is both clever and completely irresistible. Melina is healthy, fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is ready to begin the next chapter with an adopter who understands that every rescue dog deserves time, kindness, and a stable environment to thrive. The ideal family for Melina will live in Ontario, within 3 hours of Toronto, and have tons of love to give along with plenty of time to enjoy this beautiful young dog. She would thrive with people who are excited to include her in daily life, playtime, walks, cuddles, learning, and all the little moments that make a dog feel cherished. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus, but most of all, Melina needs a loving home committed to giving her the happy future she deserves. Melina is available through a foster-to-adopt program, giving approved applicants the opportunity to welcome her into the home while ensuring it is the right fit for both Melina and the family. For more information and an adoption application, please email c4ptoronto@gmail.com. So if your home is ready for wagging tails, happy zoomies, belly-up cuddle requests, and a smart, loving girl who is ready to make every day brighter, Melina may be the perfect match. Apply today—Melina is ready to roll right into your heart!

Story
Sookie was found dumped at an old strip mine with her brother as puppies. They were completely feral on intake. Sookie comes to us from Kentucky, and this sweet girl has completely stolen our hearts. She is goofy, loving, incredibly submissive, and one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. Sookie has now become one of our dog testers, and she is absolutely perfect for the job! She is wonderful with other dogs and has a natural way of interacting with them that helps us learn so much about their personalities and whether they are comfortable around other dogs. One of Sookie's favorite things to do is get right in another dog's face and give them kisses! She just wants to be everyone's friend! While her enthusiastic greetings can sometimes be a little much, they actually make her a great tester because we can see how another dog responds to a friendly, playful dog who really wants to interact. Sookie is also extremely submissive and gentle. She truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. She's goofy, happy, social, and just wants to love everyone she meets. We are so lucky to have Sookie helping other dogs along their journey. She may have come from the streets, but she has found such an important purpose here - helping us understand which dogs are ready to make a new four-legged friend. Sookie is proof that sometimes the goofiest dogs have the biggest hearts. Story
When Zeus and his sister were just puppies, they were found dumped at an old strip mall in Kentucky. No one could have known then just how much these two would blossom with patience, love, and a chance. Today, Zeus is a completely different dog - and what a dog he is! Zeus has grown into a big, goofy, fun-loving boy with a heart to match his size. He absolutely loves his toys and would happily spend his days running, playing, and enjoying life to the fullest. His silly personality is impossible not to love, and he has a wonderful way of making people smile. One of Zeus's greatest accomplishments is becoming one of our dog testers. The once scared puppy who was so frightened of the world is now trusted to help us evaluate other dogs because he is so good with them. Watching that transformation has been incredibly rewarding. Zeus is proof of what patience, compassion, and a second chance can do. From a scared puppy abandoned at a strip mall to a big, happy goofball who loves playing with his friends and toys, he has come such a long way. Now Zeus is ready for the next chapter of his story - a forever home where he can run, play, be silly, and be loved exactly as he deserves. If you're looking for a big-hearted, playful companion with a goofy personality and a love for other dogs, Zeus might just be your guy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.KOKANEE hails from Fort Severn, a Northern community and came south with her 5 siblings, Yamaska, Arisaig, Algonquin, Banff & Makwa (they’re known as the Provincial Parks Litter) and she came south to find her forever home. She’s had *1 set of puppy vaccines, a microchip, “Interceptor Plus” dewormer and has been deemed a healthy girl by her Vet. We actually have a video showing both parents and mum looks like a medium sized Collie/Old English Sheepdog and her dad possibly a large sized black Lab/Border Collie/Shepherd. We do also see Newfoundlander breed in the litter so we do expect her to be a large breed dog. She comes from a community with many stray dogs so she no doubt has many different breeds in her that are not as notable as well. She’s a very placid, laid back little fluff ball who loves her humans almost as much as she loves taking naps. Although she’s super chill, gentle and quiet, she likes to dominant over her one brother and will push him out the way to eat his kibble. She loves to play in her fenced-in yard and will happily chase her siblings around in it. She’s well socialized with people and will excitedly run up to greet them with a wagging tail. She loves her snuggles and will happily curl up in your lap to get lots of them.  KOKANEE is a happy-go-lucky, playful puppy who’s full of curiosity and is just learning what squeaky toys are all about and she’s always startled when one of her favourites actually has a squeaky in it. With her lovely personality and good nature she’s ready to find her forever home where she can continue to thrive and grow. KOKANEE has just started her crate training and she’s picking up on it very quickly as she’s one smart little lady. She’s only just started going out for her bathroom breaks so she’s just starting to understand that’s the place to do her business. She’s not going out for walks just yet seeing as she’s not vaccinated enough but she is wearing a collar and harness while on a leash so she can be walked around the back yard. Due to teething, she’s at a chewing stage and needs lots of chewy toys to satisfy that urge not to chew on anything that she shouldn’t. She really loves to chew on a Nyla bone to keep those little teeth busy too. She’s starting to learn a couple of basic commands already such as “sit” for her meals and take treats “gentle.” KOKANEE would love an active family who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and will take her on adventures with them. She travels well in a vehicle and will just rest in her crate and quietly enjoy being driven around. There’s a resident dog in her foster home and she’ll seek him out to romp and play with so she would definitely suit being with other dogs in her new home. Ideally they should be chill and placid like she is and they’d be fine putting up with puppy antics. She can be an only dog as long as she’s not left alone for long periods at a time. She hasn't met a cat but seeing as she’s just a puppy and with a slow, monitored introduction they should do well together. She requires a fenced-in yard so she can run around and play safely so she wouldn’t suit being in an apartment and that’s also due to the size we think she’ll grow to be. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  KOKANEE, like all puppies is a cute, playful and fun puppy but she’ll require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need her adopter to commit to signing her up for puppy training/obedience classes so she can be the most well behaved puppy possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spay performed by the time she’s 6 months of age. It will either be at the Rescue’s vet’s office or be at the Barrie SPCA. You do have the option to use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it at the SPCA. However, her spay will still have to be performed in the above timeframe for the reimbursement and we’ll need a copy of the procedure invoice and an updated photo of her (preferably in a onsie or cone after the surgery.) We use the photo on our fb page along with other animals that were spay/neutered that same week. If KOKANEE sounds like she’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet her. It should be noted that puppies personalities can change daily/weekly as their little brains develop. We try to keep our puppy postings as up-to-date as possible but due to their development, it’s not always possible to note 100% accurate behavioural information.  * She’ll receive her second vaccine and be ready for adoption the weekend of August 29/30th. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 15, 2026, 3:53 pm
