Prince lost his home and family after a house fire... the family relocated and left him behind. Neighbors were caring for him, knowing his family were unable to take him back. Prince is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds. Prince, since coming to Pet Search, is fully vetted- vaccinations, wormed and flea treated, neutered, 4DX tested and microchipped. He has shown to be good with female dogs at this time but has shown reactiveness to cats. He is becoming accustomed to crate training. Since coming to Pet Search we have seen him come out of his shell. Young children/toddlers and fast movements make him nervous. I’m the gentlest girl you’ll ever meet — I really don’t have a mean bone in my body. I’m sweet, calm, and easygoing. I love everyone I meet and I’m great with kids and other pets. I already know all the important house rules: I’m fully housebroken, I’m a champion at using the dog door, and I’m super chill in my kennel when you need me to be. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
