Story
Meet this sweet and shy boy, Dash! Dash came into the shelter at the beginning of January 2025 after being found as a stray along a highway. We estimate Dash to be around 3 years old. Dash is a bit of a shy boy but he is also super sweet and loving! Dash would love to find his forever home and get out of the shelter where life is a bit stressful for him. If you are interested in adopting Dash, please fill out an application on our website so we can set you up an appointment to come meet him at the shelter! ##2266212##

Story
Lucca arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife on March 24, 2025. His ideal home is one where he can be the center of attention—he’s not a fan of farm animals or cats, and he’d prefer to keep his circle strictly human (and maybe a fellow dog or two who shares his zest for life). He enjoys running and romping in our exercise areas with other dogs. Lucca is 59 pounds full-grown, and we believe he is an Australian Kelpie mix. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will brighten your days and fill your home with laughter, Lucca might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why everyone falls in love with this goofy, lovable boy! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.

Story
Finley is a beautiful, smart, & playful Blue Heeler. She is almost 8 months old and weighs aprox. 25lbs. Finley is healthy, fit, and active. You would never know that she had such a rough start in life! She was dumped on our property when she was just 4 months old. Sadly, she was malnourished and underdeveloped. We decided to foster her to give her the best chance at a healthy, happy life. She started out at just 5 1/2 pounds, but love, vet care, and patience have given her just what she needed. Finley is fixed, up to date on shots, and regularly takes flea/tick/heartworm prevention medication. Finley is crate-trained and house-trained and has already learned several commands. Finley needs 45 to 60 minutes of exercise and stimulation a day. She loves chasing tennis balls, snuggling, and playing with her toys. Adoption includes a new large crate, dog beds, smart buttons, a harness, and other goodies. Finley will be a great family dog!
