Story
Meet Barkley. This beautiful boy is an active guy who needs a patient loving hand to guide him into becoming the best big boy he can be. He is playful but also able to curl up under your feet when you're working or by your side when you're watching TV. He is very smart and easily trainable (learned sit in an afternoon). Barkley is currently being trained by one of our partners, Tail to Tail Training. He is ready for graduation and his new home! He does well in a crate and walking on a leash and he needs someone who will be consistent in maintaining his training to keep him being a good boy! Barkley is selective about being with other dogs, so a meet and greet is required. His trainer says he's doing great with obedience and loves going on outings! Barkley would be best in a home with children 9 and older.

Story
Ajax is almost two years old. He is the sweetest dog and often seeks out cuddles. His favorite toy is a tug rope, and he loves methodically ripping the stuffing out of stuffed toys. He's a loud dog, with a lot of personality. That also comes with several bad behaviors. He has no sense of personal space, with dogs or people, which has caused some issues with my roommate's pets. He and my roommate's small dog will get into it. He can't understand dog social cues, and when the small dog growls, it makes him mad. That isn't the case with my bigger dog, or my roommate's medium sized dog. He gets along great with large dogs, even if he is rough when he plays. He has a strong prey drive, so he's not good around cats or small animals and even small dogs if they move too quickly. Ajax needs a home with a lot of room to run and with someone with the patience and knowledge to train him. Most of his issues can be resolved with training and keeping his mind busy. He can be destructive when bored.

Story
COURTESY POST: “Hi my name is Luna, I come from the Texas Valley. My foster saved me from the streets of Brownsville. I am about 35 pounds and less than 2 years old. My foster just moved here from Brownsville and lives in Southwest Houston. She doesn’t know anyone, so she needs you to repost this to help me find my forever home. I currently live with 2 dogs and a cat and have been a good girl when strange dogs come to visit. I was recently fully vetted and am heartworm negative. I was spayed and am on heartworm, worm, flea and tick treatment. I will bring 4 more months of preventative with me. I am well socialized with adults and children, housebroken and crate trained. I can take a moment to warm up to strangers, but I'm just a love bug. I love to take walks and cuddle. I would be a great fit into any family!'For more information or to meet me – please Email: cyndiraccoon@gmail.comMay 30, 2023, 12:00 pm

Story
My name is Indy, and I am INDEED a special boy! I have very particular tastes, and love to enjoy the finer things in life. I was very shy when I first came in, but now I am a Behavior Rehabilitation Center Graduate and would love to show you my goofy personality! I am a little shy with new people, but once I'm comfortable I'll start showing off my dapper dance moves (like the tippy taps I do with my front feet when I'm very excited!). My favorite things with my trusted homies are: butt scratches (I'll put my butt on your legs to remind you, don't worry!) and treats (but only the best, of course!). The Behavior Team will approve applications for me to ensure I am successful in a home environment. If you are interested in letting me be the center of your attention, I would love to be your loyal goofy boy!

Story
Meet the happiest face ever!  My name is Sonny and appropriately so! I always have a smile on my face and have the happiest prance everywhere I go. I am almost 2 years old, and a very gentle soul.  I learn quickly from a very simple no or good job! I'm a bit of an apprehensive fellow, especially to new things and sounds. But once I know Im in a safe and loving environment I am quite curious and snuggly and warm up quick. I love to cuddle on the couch and to be included in everything! … Doorways are still a little scary if they are new, but with just a little encouragement or another furry friend to join me, I learn quick that the doorway leads to all the adventures of the outdoors.  I ride well in the car too!  I haven't quite learned how to jump up yet, but my foster mom has been helping me to learn.  I get along great with every dog I've met, and am most interested in my human's love, but like to play chase when outdoors with my dog friends. I am not interested in chasing cats; the one I live with is in charge and sometimes tries to “play attack” me but I just go along with it because he seems to think its so much fun. Im a bit smaller, just 39 lbs. I love sneaking socks and washcloths out of the laundry basket to scatter all over and I've come quite fond of disorganizing the stuffed toy box. I cant wait to have a human of my own to play with. My foster mom thinks I would do great in agility courses. I have that bouncy, sassy circle step down pat.  I already have learned how to play fetch and I don't pay any attention to the backyard chickens or goats. Im ready for my next adventure and can't wait to have a family of my own. (A fenced yard is required) Please apply for me at www.freedomcollierescue.org   ##1695022##

Story
My name is Hugo!  With a smile and happy demeanor, I am looking to brighten someone’s day, whether it be another dog, cat or person.  I just want to make friends. I respond to my name “Hugo”, thrive on eye contact, attention, belly rubs, scratching, brushing, and easy walking on a leash. I prefer bacon treats or peanut butter biscuits after I respond to come, sit, stay, and lay down commands. In addition, I am house trained, crate trained, good with children and strangers, love play time and even will make “Chewbacca” sounds when excited. As a 76 pound (we are still working on getting those extra pounds off), 3-year old sable merle male, with puppy curiosity, I may chew on socks if left to discover the world on my own. I thrive on attention and being a part of the family yet am comfortable with time on my own in my crate.  My coat was shaved down, but it is coming back very thick and nice!  I need a fenced yard to play in and approved adopters will have to come get me to take me home.  I am currently being fostered in Corpus Christi Texas.  If you think you are my new family, please apply at freedomcollierescue.org ##1703634##
