Story
What a character this girl is! Meet Daphne  Daphne was heartbreakingly left behind by her owner after apparently being kept outside in the yard and no longer wanted. Despite everything, this beautiful girl has remained nothing but sweet, loving, and full of life. Daphne deserves a family who will truly cherish her, spend time with her, and show her what real love feels like. During our shelter pull, we noticed a note on her kennel card that had incorrect information on it. Of course, we had to see for ourselves — and Daphne completely proved that note wrong. She was absolutely PERFECT during her temp test. No aggression whatsoever, just a happy-go-lucky girl eager to make friends with every dog she met. We think Daphne is a Collie/Shepherd mix and she’s around 2 years old, maybe even younger. She is incredibly sweet, eager to please, and has such a fun personality. Daphne is currently in boarding, but we would love nothing more than to get this sweet girl into a foster home where she can finally relax and feel loved Please consider fostering Daphne and giving her the second chance she deserves - visit www.scoutshonor.org for more information.May 26, 2026, 3:52 pm

Story
Stella - GSD Mix - Female - 2 years - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Stella: This gorgeous girl is the Mom to the Gilmore Girls (Emily, Lorelai and Rory) - she was found by her foster family in an abandoned trailer after just having given birth to 7 puppies, they were about 10 days old at that time. Stella was a dedicated mother for the first few months, until her pups grew independent personalities and were starting to push boundaries, then she was done mothering them. Stella now enjoys solo yard time and people attention, barking at other dogs - even her daughters at times - and going on walks. Stella is a long haired German Shepherd/something mix, about 2 yrs old and displays many typical shepherd qualities, like desire to please her people, above average smarts,  food motivation (this girl is willing to do sketchy stuff for food..), and some dog reactivity.  We do not know her background, other than she was not medically taken care of and came to us heartworm positive. She was treated for heartworms and is now waiting for all remnants of the worms and medication to clear her system before her spay, which should be early July. Stella is looking for a home where she can be the only dog, where she can get the personal attention and affection she craves and with a handler that is willing and able to spend some time teaching her new tricks and manners, she is eager to learn. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***

Story
Meet Sampson, a 7-year-old chow/border collie mix who's part clown, part best friend, and all heart. This boy is loaded with personality and will keep you smiling every single day. Here's what makes Sampson one of a kind: - Spins in hilarious tail-chasing circles (with growls!) - Brings you toys and bones when it's time to play - Total water dog — puddles, hose spray, or kiddie pool - Professional cardboard shredder (he takes his "job" seriously) - Zoomies + squirrel patrol = daily entertainment - High energy but also entertains himself like a champ Sampson is crate trained, leash trained, and housebroken. When he bonds, he bonds big — this silly boy will be your ride-or-die once you're his person. Sampson's Dream Home: - Fenced yard - Dog-savvy human (chow experience preferred) - No other pets - No kids - No apartments (he likes to chat!) - Fully vetted with a manageable skin allergy - Comes with his very own custom portrait by Painting with a Purpose If you're looking for a one-and-only sidekick with a goofy streak, Sampson's your guy. **Sampson is located in Spring, TX. Paid transport can be arranged. Transport costs range from $200-400.** If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application @ https://form.jotform.us/41173109602142. Once approved, home visit and reference checks are also required. If you have further questions outside of this listing, please email chowmail.hccc@gmail.com.

Story
This beautiful soul has been on an incredible journey, enduring a challenging stay at the shelter, waiting and hoping for a loving forever home. Despite his stunning looks and heartwarming personality, Apollo remained overlooked for months. He's a dog who's seen the worst of it yet still holds onto hope and love. Finally liberated from the confines of the shelter, Apollo's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. His heart is filled with joy, and he's ready to share that boundless affection with a family who sees the gem he truly is. Apollo's a big boy with an even bigger heart. He adores the company of other dogs and revels in playtime. However, he thrives on structure, guidance, and plenty of activity. Smart as a whip, Apollo's intelligence and quick learning skills will astound you. This sweet boy, at around 6-7 years old and weighing around 70lbs, deserves a home that matches his spirit—a place with experienced, loving humans who understand the needs of a larger dog like him. If your heart swells at the thought of giving Apollo the home he dreams of, please consider fostering or adopting him. Start the journey by filling out an application at www.scoutshonor.org. Your love and compassion could be the key to unlocking Apollo's happily ever after.
