Story
What a character this girl is! Meet Daphne  Daphne was heartbreakingly left behind by her owner after apparently being kept outside in the yard and no longer wanted. Despite everything, this beautiful girl has remained nothing but sweet, loving, and full of life. Daphne deserves a family who will truly cherish her, spend time with her, and show her what real love feels like. During our shelter pull, we noticed a note on her kennel card that had incorrect information on it. Of course, we had to see for ourselves — and Daphne completely proved that note wrong. She was absolutely PERFECT during her temp test. No aggression whatsoever, just a happy-go-lucky girl eager to make friends with every dog she met. We think Daphne is a Collie/Shepherd mix and she’s around 2 years old, maybe even younger. She is incredibly sweet, eager to please, and has such a fun personality. Daphne is currently in boarding, but we would love nothing more than to get this sweet girl into a foster home where she can finally relax and feel loved Please consider fostering Daphne and giving her the second chance she deserves - visit www.scoutshonor.org for more information.June 8, 2026, 7:21 pm

Story
Sophie is an 11 year old, 70lb, spayed Collie mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is good with children and loves to play with other dogs. She would not do well with cats or chickens due to her prey drive. Sophie is crate and house trained and walks well on leash. She is an active, playful girl who prefers daily walks to get her energy out. She would love to snuggle with you on the couch and give hugs to everyone she meets! Sophie came into our rescue as a young puppy, she was adopted twice and had forever homes for approximately 3-1/2 years both times. Both times she was returned due to changes in the family dynamics through no fault of hers. She is looking for a REAL forever home this time - one that she can live out her remaining years with love and companionship. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at www.hhfrescue.org. Thank you for considering a rescued dog!

Story
This beautiful soul has been on an incredible journey, enduring a challenging stay at the shelter, waiting and hoping for a loving forever home. Despite his stunning looks and heartwarming personality, Apollo remained overlooked for months. He's a dog who's seen the worst of it yet still holds onto hope and love. Finally liberated from the confines of the shelter, Apollo's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. His heart is filled with joy, and he's ready to share that boundless affection with a family who sees the gem he truly is. Apollo's a big boy with an even bigger heart. He adores the company of other dogs and revels in playtime. However, he thrives on structure, guidance, and plenty of activity. Smart as a whip, Apollo's intelligence and quick learning skills will astound you. This sweet boy, at around 6-7 years old and weighing around 70lbs, deserves a home that matches his spirit—a place with experienced, loving humans who understand the needs of a larger dog like him. If your heart swells at the thought of giving Apollo the home he dreams of, please consider fostering or adopting him. Start the journey by filling out an application at www.scoutshonor.org. Your love and compassion could be the key to unlocking Apollo's happily ever after. Story
Meet Sampson, a 7-year-old chow/border collie mix who's part clown, part best friend, and all heart. This boy is loaded with personality and will keep you smiling every single day. Here's what makes Sampson one of a kind: - Spins in hilarious tail-chasing circles (with growls!) - Brings you toys and bones when it's time to play - Total water dog — puddles, hose spray, or kiddie pool - Professional cardboard shredder (he takes his "job" seriously) - Zoomies + squirrel patrol = daily entertainment - High energy but also entertains himself like a champ Sampson is crate trained, leash trained, and housebroken. When he bonds, he bonds big — this silly boy will be your ride-or-die once you're his person. Sampson's Dream Home: - Fenced yard - Dog-savvy human (chow experience preferred) - No other pets - No kids - No apartments (he likes to chat!) - Fully vetted with a manageable skin allergy - Comes with his very own custom portrait by Painting with a Purpose If you're looking for a one-and-only sidekick with a goofy streak, Sampson's your guy. **Sampson is located in Spring, TX. Story
Stevie Nicks is a 7 month-old Lab/Collie mix with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give. She’s the perfect blend of energy and sweetness—always ready for a game of chase or a round of zoomies with her dog friends, then happy to settle in after a fun day. This curious pup loves exploring the yard, especially when it comes to her favorite pastime: stick hunting! She’s doing great with her routine—sleeping soundly in her crate at night and enjoying her days playing outside. Stevie is also learning her basic manners and is already making great progress with “sit” and “stay.” If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion to grow with your family, Stevie Nicks might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Piper. 5.5-6 yrs old. She’s been fully vetted and is ready for adoption. Piper came from a local shelter as a stray. Her medical has been lengthy and expensive as she went through heartworm treatment and had entropian surgery for one of her eyes. That’s where they fix the eyelashes from rolling inward and scratching the eye causing it to weep from irritation. She’s all healthy and feeling great. Piper is sweet, playful and mostly obedient. She is completely housebroken. Though Piper likes to play with other dogs she needs to be in a no other dog home since she resource guards her food. She would just love having a person she can snuggle on the couch with. We had Piper DNA’d and she is 50/50 smooth collie & husky. You may apply for Piper at https://houstoncollierescue.org/ado.../adoption-application/We adopt anywhere in Texas, OKC and Louisiana.

Story
Meet the life of the party — Kenny! Kenny is a friendly, medium-sized rough coat male collie with a heart as big as his beautiful smile. At seven years old, this handsome sable and white boy is healthy, happy, and ready to find the loving forever home he deserves. After being surrendered when his elderly owner was hospitalized, Kenny has shown nothing but resilience, sweetness, and an incredible love for people and other dogs alike. Kenny is social, well-adjusted, and always eager to make new friends. He greets his foster parents and strangers with bright eyes, a wagging tail, and joyful enthusiasm. He truly thrives around others and gets along wonderfully with every dog he has met. Whether he’s joining the fun or simply soaking up attention, Kenny brings warmth and happiness everywhere he goes. This sweet boy enjoys walks and does very well on a leash. He loves keeping an eye on the world from the window — especially watching for deer or the latest Amazon delivery — and he’s always ready for a car ride adventure. One of Kenny’s favorite things in the world is having his ears scratched, and he will happily lean in for extra affection. Kenny’s gorgeous full rough coat makes him especially striking, but it’s his loving personality that truly shines. He is neutered, fully vetted, crate trained, and recently learned to be house trained. He currently sleeps comfortably in his crate at night and has adjusted beautifully to life in foster care. Kenny would likely thrive in almost any environment. While he could do well as an only dog, his social nature suggests he would love having another canine companion to share life with. Although he hasn’t been around cats in his foster home, his gentle and accepting temperament indicates he could likely coexist peacefully with them if introduced properly. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a social butterfly, and a gentle soul wrapped in a fluffy collie coat, Kenny may just be your perfect match.
