Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $0 WAIVED if picked up in TN, $100 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Lacy, a scruffy, wiry-haired sweetheart with a quirky charm and kisses to spare for anyone within reach. This 1.5-year-old Airedale Terrier mix, possibly with a touch of Collie, weighs 46 pounds and brings a fun mix of friendly and shy all rolled into one funny personality. She loves greeting people with happy kisses, and once she settles in and gets comfortable, she is a total love bug who will lean into every pet and shower you with affection. Her energy adjusts with the moment, ready to play hard or relax depending on what the day calls for. Lacy is quite the athlete and adventurer at heart. She loves playing ball, wrestling with her canine friends, and going on hikes and walks, and she would likely be a big fan of the dog park too. She is very food motivated, and she would love learning new tricks with the right treats involved. She is housetrained when on a consistent routine and knows how to settle into her crate and sit for her leash, though she does best with an open crate setup or a small attached pen rather than being fully confined, since she prefers a little extra room to feel comfortable. Lacy is quite clever and athletic, capable of clearing a four foot fence, among other feats. She lives happily with other dogs and cats and was gentle and a little shy when meeting kids. The best home for Lacy is one where someone is around often and where she has at least one friendly dog companion to keep her company. If you have room in your home and heart for a joyful girl with a spark of mischief, Lacy would love to meet you. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. August 17, 2026, 5:54 pm
