Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lacy is a one-year-old Airedale Terrier mix with a beautiful scruffy coat, a bright and curious mind, and a smile that shows up so often it is basically her signature look! This 45-pound girl is playful, smart, and surprisingly quick to figure things out, picking up the dog door instantly and arriving at mealtime without a single reminder. She plays fetch, loves a good game of tug, and has absolutely charmed everyone she has met by greeting them with the sweetest little hand lick after working up the courage to say hello. Housetrained, quiet in the car, solid on a leash, and sleeping through the night in her crate like a champ, this girl is already checking a lot of boxes! Lacy is treat motivated which makes her a great candidate for continued training, and she already has a solid understanding of come. She is a gentle and non-aggressive girl who has played happily with dogs of all sizes, and her calm curiosity around squirrels suggests she may do just fine with a cat in the home. Lacy is still building her confidence around people, so this sweet girl is a little timid about being petted, though she is already showing signs that she is going to absolutely love it once she fully settles in. A patient family who understands shy dogs will find her blossoming beautifully with time and consistency. One important note is that she is an accomplished 4 ft fence climber, so a six foot fence or leash walks are a must to keep this adventurous girl safely at home. A playful canine companion, a large yard or rural property to explore, and a kind and patient family willing to show her that people are pretty wonderful after all is really all this sweet girl is asking for. She is already smiling, and something tells us she is just getting started. To learn more about Lacy, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 9, 2026, 10:02 am

Story
Meet Lupine, a young, happy-go-lucky pup with so much love to give. At just 1 year old, this handsome husky/collie mix is ready to make the very most of it with a family of his own. Lupine is, quite simply, sweet, sweet, sweet. He absolutely adores people and loves being close to his humans, whether that means soaking up affection, snuggling on the couch, or following you around just to be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s friendly with strangers, eager to please, and has that goofy, lovable personality that keeps you smiling. This playful boy has done wonderfully with the large dogs he’s met and is always happy to make new canine friends. He loves to play, especially if fetch is involved, and would enjoy a home where he can have fun and burn off some of his youthful energy before settling in for cuddles. Lupine is crate trained and settles beautifully in his crate, staying quiet and relaxed when left alone. He’s mostly potty trained and making great progress, though he may still have the occasional accident as he continues learning. On leash, Lupine is doing well but is still polishing his manners, especially when he spots other dogs and gets excited to say hello. He already knows sit, come, and name recognition, and with his eager-to-please nature, he should continue to thrive with consistent guidance. He has shown interest in cats, so a dog-savvy cat may be a possibility with proper introductions. Lupine is the kind of dog who makes life brighter. He’s affectionate, playful, goofy, and endlessly loving, with so much personality packed into one sweet face. After everything he’s been through, Lupine is more than ready for a forever home where he can be cherished the way he deserves. At Green Dogs Unleashed (GDU), we are dedicated to ensuring the successful placement of our dogs in loving, permanent homes. Over the years, we have seen an increasing number of returns due to behavioral issues that could have been prevented with the right support. A significant percentage of these returns involve out-of-area clients or those who have not completed training with GDU. To address this, positive reinforcement training with Green Dogs Unleashed is required as a condition for all adoptions. Preference for this dog will be given to adopters who commit to signing up for and completing our six-week Canine 101 training class in person at our headquarters in Troy, VA. Secondary consideration will be given to a limited number of out-of-area adopters who agree to complete one private lesson with GDU, either in person or virtually, and attend a pre-approved positive reinforcement training class in their area. At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application, if you are interested in any of our animals. Application at www.greendogsunleashed.org If you send an inquiry to ask if the dog is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. No, we cannot tell you if he would be a match for your family without seeing an application. PLEASE KEEP READING for info. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: The first communication you will receive after completing an application will be an email response, which will have instructions on how to proceed. Please check your inbox AND spam folders for the next 48 hours, for this email. We will not begin processing an application without the information requested in that email. */*/* We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time. For more information about our mission and for an APPLICATION for adoption, please go to www.greendogsunleashed.com. GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well. */*/* Young puppies will receive age-appropriate vaccines, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional puppy boosters and at 16 weeks of age, a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing and monthly heartworm preventative are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. *****Due to the sheer number of animals and applications in our program, coupled with a limited number of volunteers, applicants MUST have patience as we process applications.   If you do not hear back from us, the animal may have been adopted.   We strive to let people know but sadly cannot offer reasons for denial beyond that.  Any harassment of our volunteers will go unanswered and we will simply block you.   Our volunteers spend their time working hard to ensure the very best for each animal.   Please remember the animal, not the applicant, is our client.*****  ##2744778##

Story
My name is Fancy . I am estimated to be 2 years old. I am a very sweet girl, but I have a very quirky personality. I am very good in the house ; I am crate trained and have used a doggie door. I love jumping right in the car and going for rides ! I walk on a leash every day currently. When I first meet people, I am very cautious, and act scared. I defiantly bond very fast to women. Young kids scare me, and I tend to go hide in my safe place , my crate. Once I feel comfy around you , I act just like every other dog. I love to give kisses , play with my toys and go for walks on the leash. I love fresh carrots for a treat or a big rawhide to chew on. I have lived with several dogs before and enjoy their company. All my vet work is done, and I am microchipped. My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee. I can be a very good loyal companion in the right setting. I don’t necessarily need a fenced in yard if you walk me on a leash every day.
