She is a 5-year-old Rough Collie whose entire life on a farm shaped her into the soft-hearted, and loyal dog she is today. She has a gentle and sweet disposition, so much so, she would sleep with newborn lambs to keep them warm! Brownie has the classic long, flowing double coat of a Rough Collie, and she’ll need regular brushing to keep her comfortable and tangle-free. She’s a people-oriented, dog who loves being part of daily life and staying close to her humans. She has lived with livestock, learns new routines quickly, and absolutely adores attention and going for walks. As a herding breed, Brownie will thrive in a home that keeps her active, engaged, and mentally stimulated. Rough Collies are highly trainable and intelligent, and Brownie is no exception—she’ll shine with enrichment, guidance, and plenty of involvement in your everyday routine. Story
Millie is a sweet dog who is looking to start a new chapter after her family could no longer keep her after they needed to move. We’re so glad they trusted us to help her find the perfect forever home. Millie is two years old and full of love. She’s a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoys long walks, and thrives when her mind and body are kept busy with fun activities. Bonus: she’s even shown interest in playing in the water! She’s lived with older teenagers and done well, but has not lived with younger children. She has also shown too much interest in cats, so she would prefer a cat-free home. Millie will be spayed and up to date on all vaccinations this week, and she’s already dreaming of the day she meets her new family. Interested in adoption? Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
