Story
Ollie's a 2.5 year old border collie with a strong personality. He is playful, curious, energetic, excitable, and very affectionate with people he trusts.We're looking for a new home for Ollie because of our living situation and not being able to give him what he needs to thrive. We live in a small apartment in a busy part of town, and most of Ollie's outdoor experiences are on-leash. He’s always been cautious and fearful and struggles when on-leash in close quarters with dogs he doesn't know or people who he doesn't know that try to pet him. With time, training, and avoidance this has improved slightly, but he would thrive in environment where he had space to roam off-leash and lived with someone with experience with herding breeds or sensitive dogs. He's had experience staying multiple nights with other dogs without issue. He hasn't had positive encounters with cats. He hasn't had many encounters with kids but would be a bitter fit for a family with older kids.

***Clem has been added to our Lonely Hearts Club***Meet Clem, a sweet young pup who made his way all the way from Mississippi and is now hoping to find someone to call his own.Clem was living as a stray in a small Mississippi town, where a few kind people began feeding him. He was understandably wary and would often disappear into the woods, but eventually they were able to safely catch him in a live trap. And then they discovered what a sweetheart he really is. The people who cared for him described Clem as “the sweetest pup ever” and said he just needed someone to love him. Once he felt comfortable, he would lay his head in their laps and soak up the attention. Clem can still be nervous and fearful when he meets new people or encounters unfamiliar situations, and he is sensitive to loud sounds. He’ll need a patient adopter who will give him time to build trust and feel safe. But once Clem decides you’re one of his people, you get to see the sweet, affectionate dog underneath that initial shyness. This boy has already come a long way. Now he just needs someone willing to give him the time, patience and love he deserves.Restrictions: Teens plus, Everyone in his new household needs to meet Clem before adoption. Must go home with another dog.Recommendations: He may not do well in an apartment due to sound sensitivity and fear of strangers. So, a single-family home is preferred. Medical Summary: Clem appears to be a healthy dog; during you visit your adoption counselor will go over all medical information. We always recommend setting up an appointment with a vet after adoption for a full checkup. Weight: ~48 poundsAdoption fee: $100 + tax
