Story
Meet Rusty, a handsome 2-3 year old neutered male hound mix, weighing about 50 lbs!  Rusty is a friendly, goofy boy who LOVES people! Because of his size and clumsiness, we recommend older kids 8+, as he may unintentionally knock over a small child.  Rusty has come a long way since his arrival in New England, having initially been severely underweight. But now he's thriving with a full bowl of food, a warm bed, and gentle care. He has blossomed in his foster home, learning to play, cuddle, and trust. Rusty adores his foster family and loves snuggling on the couch - his favorite pastime! He is currently being fostered in southern NH. Rusty generally gets along with more laid back/submissive dogs after a proper intro, however he is dog selective and can be a bit of an attention hog, so we feel he would do best as the only dog in the home. Also no cats for this boy, as he may confuse them for a tasty snack .  We realize this is a tall order, but Rusty is SUCH a sweet boy, we hope that you will fall in love with him and happily devote all of your attention to him! He really does deserve it, especially since he has spent the better part of his life not knowing what it feels like to be loved. Rusty is medically up to date and housebroken. Apply today to meet this special boy and give him the happily ever after he deserves! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2553249##

Story
This cutie is Cosmo Park Avenue. He is currently 9 weeks old and weighs approximately 8 pounds. We think he may be a Beagle mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that he is an adorable pup and among the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Cosmo's playful personality here: https://youtu.be/oLREEt49_h8?si=ph0SVN5ruVQOJzyF Cosmo is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his brother Cosmo and the other dog at his foster home. He takes lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Cosmo is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
