Meet Liberty Belle, My foster dad loves to hear me bay. The minute he comes in, I tune right up and remind him of his younger hunting days. When I’m not singing him a song, I love sitting beside him on the couch. My long ears feel just like velvet, and my soulful eyes are full of love. Need a gorgeous girl to relax on the couch with you—or join you for long walks? I’m your girl! He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Meet Sophie: A 2–3 Year-Old Mix Looking for a Forever Home-we’re not sure the mix, but one vet thought Coonhound. We were guessing Mastiff, but she isn’t huge though. Maybe when all filled in, 80-85 lbs. Sophie is a courageous and affectionate dog who recently traveled from Texas to find her. Age/Breed:** 2–3 years old Location:** Bozrah, CT History:** Has undergone heartworm treatment and completed obedience training Personality:** Sweet, eager to please, and full of potential with the right guidance What Sophie Needs in a Home Large-breed experienced adopter: ** Understanding decompression and how to work with a rescued dog helps set them up for success with their new family Kids: Sophie is really good with the children in her foster home (ages 9 and 11). Note: Any new dog should have supervised introductions with kids in the home. Other dogs:** Gets along with larger dogs with proper introductions. This standard applies to every adopted dog. We do not recommended cats or small dogs for Sophie. Intro/Decompression:** A patient, slow-introductions approach will bring out the best in Sophie. Important Notes Protections and patience are key. Following a decompression plan will help Sophie settle into her new routine and become the best dog in your home. Story
Meet Echo! Talk about a handsome hound! This gorgeous boy is approximately 6–7 months old and already weighs 57 pounds, so he is going to be a big boy when he fills out. He looks identical to a Black and Tan Coonhound, except for one very important detail—he has absolutely no tan! His beautiful black coat is accented by a white patch on his chest, giving him a look all his own. We aren't if he is mixed with anything but whatever he is, he sure is striking! He came to our rescue as a stray, and we can't imagine how someone could have let this beautiful boy end up on his own. Thankfully, his days of being a stray are behind him, and he's ready to find the family he was meant to have. This sweet boy does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and has been friendly and social with his canine friends. He has good manners and does not jump on you when he gets excited. He has that wonderful hound personality—sweet, goofy, affectionate, and ready to be part of a family! He was neutered yesterday, is vaccinated, and is officially ready for his new home! If you've always wanted a Coonhound but would love one with a unique look, this boy may be your perfect match. He's big, beautiful, and ready to trade life as a stray for a life filled with love, comfy beds, and a family of his own. ❤️🐾 Please message us if you are interested in adopting Echo and we will send over an application to get the adoption process started! 💲 Adoption Fee: 475 Your puppy's adoption fee includes: 🐶 Spay/neuter 💉 Age-appropriate vaccinations 🪱 Deworming ❤️ Current heartworm and flea prevention 📍 Microchip 🚚 Transportation to you via Rescue Riders Pet Transport!
