I adopted this sweet boy about 3 1/2 years ago, he is approximately 7. I had to move and it is just very hard to afford keeping him comfortable (dog walkers/pet insurance/vet/prevention/food, etc) as a single income household. Before we moved, I lived at my family home, he had a yard with an invisible fence that he respected and did not try to test/escape. People were around that could do potty breaks and he was overall adjusted well to be home alone. Now we are in a smaller space with dogs kind of off leash in our area so I've had to drive us elsewhere to do walks before/after work. He's selectively social but treat motivated. He responds very well to the vibration (not shot/static) corrective collar during walks if he needs redirection. I wish I could write more here Pros: protective, doesn't destroy furniture/doors, calm, not much vocal, couch potato Cons: counter surfer, separation anxiety (Impact dog crate would come with him, but does well loose in the house)

If you are interested in one of our dogs, please call 1-800-452-0114 for more information or stop by our shelters 12:00pm- 4:30pm, 7 days a week and speak to one of our adoption counselors.<br/><br/>~ I can live in a single family home or condo.<br/>~ I want to live with dog-savvy kids over 14 who are familiar with rambunctious dogs.<br/>~ I have not had much experience with cats or dogs but am willing to consider sharing my home with a furry friend. I would like to meet a dog buddy first before going home with them.<br/>~ I am a high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.<br/>~ My behavior is very typical for my breed. I would prefer to live with someone who has hound experience.

This boy is a wonderful boy!! He is fun, friendly and ready to go. He gets along with other pups and should do well with kids. He loves to play and has the wonderful hound personality. He will need all the puppy training, and leash work, but should learn quite fast. He is ready for his new adventure with his forever family. She likes to talk, play with other pups and be hugged by anyone! She would be a great adventure companion for any family. She has done well on a leash and in a car. She will need all of the basic training but should learn quite fast. She is ready to go!
