Meet Delhi, a 5.5 month-old, 25-ish pound, hound mix who is full of energy and curiosity. If you're looking for a dog who loves to explore, chase lantern flies, and sniff out every inch of the outdoors, Delhi might be your perfect match. She's a busy girl who is always on the go but will cuddle up with you when she’s ready for a break. Delhi is super food-motivated, making her a great student for training sessions. She already knows several commands like sit, come, lie down, and is working on stay and crate training. While she’s a quick learner, she does have a strong will, which is typical for her breed. While she’s crate trained and sleeps well through the night, she prefers not to be cooped up during the day and loves to know what’s happening around her. She’s still getting used to the sounds of the city but is getting braver every day. Delhi’s ideal home would be one with a backyard and perhaps in a quieter neighborhood where she can relax and explore at her own pace. Meet Sara. Sara was surrendered to animal control along with her puppies when her owners could no longer care for them. Sara was a great mom and her puppies have been weaned. Everyone is ready now to find their new homes. Sara is a sweet dog and loves to give hugs and kisses. She knows some basic commands and has good manners. Now spayed and happy to have raised her last set of puppies, Sara is very much ready to find a family to love. Sara is about 4 years old and 60 pounds. Please help Sara find the loving home she deserves. Update: Sara tested positive for Anaplasmosis, another tick borne disease similar to Lymes. She has already completed her course of oral antibiotic and is feeling great. Sara is currently savailable for adoption. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Minnow and 2 other dogs were dumped at an overcrowded shelter under cover of darkness. Unfortunately the shelter did not get good video footage of the person who did this. The shelter staff were quite surprised to find them when they came into work the following morning. They then reached out to us to help find the dogs new forever families. Minnow is very sweet and loves belly rubs. She is good with other dogs. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Minnow is about 7 months old and 27 pounds. Please help Minnow find the loving home she deserves. Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Tommy is a very handsome boy with beautiful markings who will steal your heart. He is an extremely gentle, calm dog. He sleeps quietly in his crate all night, and is potty trained. Tommy walks beautifully on leash and is curious on his walks. Tommy loves car rides. He is playful and enjoys chewing on his toys and doing yoga stretches throughout his day. Tommy shows good balance of play time and rest time..when not playing he is content just laying down and receiving quiet pets. He is calm, gentle and affectionate with children and adults alike. Tommy has perfect manners and will not beg or jump for food while the family is eating, he just sits close by quietly, or lounges in his bed independently. Tommy loves just about everyone, with the exception of cats. He finds cats a little too exciting, so no cats for this boy. Tommy is such a good dog and a wonderful companion!
