Story
Hagan is happy to say she is looking for her forever family! Introducing Hagan, she is a gorgeous 3-year-old Coonhound mix fully grown at about 50 pounds! Hagan has a stunning white and brown coat and the cutest ears that flop in the wind.
Hagan has such a loving personality. She adores everyone she meets and is so sweet and gentle. She would do wonderfully at home with children of all ages. Hagan has an adorable habit of stopping and asking for belly rubs. This could be during her daily walk, mid-zoomies, or in the middle of the best movie. Hagan will give you more than enough kisses afterward to say a big thank you!
Hagan can be very laid back and loves to take naps on the couch, snuggled next to her foster family, or in a dog bed! While she can be laid back, she can also be playful - she is the perfect combination! Hagan loves playing with people, dogs, and toys! Her playful side really comes out when she gets to romp around with her canine friends. Hagan loves to show off her toys, squeak her tennis balls, and show everyone her zoomies. Not only does she love dogs and children, but she would also do well at home with cats!
Hagan's foster mom said that she has been wonderful: she goes potty outside, doesn’t make a peep in her crate (although she prefers snuggling with her foster family), and she’s a pro on the leash! She is super smart and loves to learn new skills and tricks. She’s learning the “sit” command and catching on super quickly. Hagan is excited to see what else she can learn! She is excited to meet her home for good and hopes to meet you soon!

Hagan is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.
Given the conditions Hagan originated from, upon rescue, she tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Hagan has completed her Heartworm treatment.
*Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*
**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**
