What Charlotte wants most now is simple: a soft couch, warm belly rubs, and someone to cuddle beside while being showered with affection. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Twinkie, so named by the shelter staff because of his resemblance to everyone's favorite sweet treat, could have received that name because he is such a sweet dog. This aproximately 3-year-old is a happy fellow who won the hearts of the shelter staff when he was there as a flea covered stray. He was offered to rescue by the shelter, because of his treatable health conditions including non-contagious bacterial infections and heartworm. He has recovered from the bacterial infections, but he will continue to receive monthly medication for heartworm, with a follow-up heartworm antigen test in December 2026. However, those can be carried out in his adoptive home, so we are accepting applications for him. Medication (oral, or topical) and instructions will be provided. Zoey's first human mom had special needs. Zoey lived in an apt, sitting on mom's lap watching TV all day. Yes Zoey is happiest when held or as a couch potato! When her mom died she lived with auntie who raised Elk Hounds. Sad now auntie passed away in August. I love Zoey but unable to provide a forever home. She is a smart sweet dog, listens to voice commands, "go pee pee", "up" when I want her up the stairs etc., wait. She is not thrilled with delivery trucks nor drivers.

He is high-energy, loves playing with kids, long walks, dog park visits, and being in the middle of family life. He is housetrained, knows basic commands, and thrives on active play! Ideal Home: Blue needs an experienced owner who understands northern/working breeds and can offer both active play and structure. While he loves family gatherings, he has separation anxiety and can get overwhelmed in high-stress, unfamiliar situations. He needs a confident handler for routine and calm introductions. He does great with other playful dogs and would love a buddy or to be the star of an active home. Adjectives: Playful, affectionate, loyal, energetic, smart, gentle.
