Story
Bronx is a small and in charge girl! Bronx is estimated to be around 3 months old, and she is a fun girl who loves to play and explore. She is the smallest of the group, but makes up for her small size with a big personality. She is a smart and adventurous puppy who would love an active family to call her own. Bronx weighs about 12lbs and we estimate that she will be at least 40-50lbs when fully grown. Bronx and her siblings came to us from our local animal shelter after they were found dumped in rural Yolo County. There were originally 7 puppies, and Bronx is one of the last three to find her fur-ever family. These puppies are looking for individual homes so that they can get the one-on-one training and socialization they need to thrive as adults. Bronx is the little ringleader of the group. Despite her small size, she can hold her own with her siblings and isn't afraid to stick up for herself if they play rough with her. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you have a tasty treat, she is quick to become your BFF. She is such a sweet girl who thrives on positive reinforcement and is happy to curl up in your lap for cuddles. She is eager to learn, especially if food is involved, and has already mastered some of her basic manners. She needs a family committed to continuing her training to help her grow up to be the best girl she can be.  Bronx has done well living with an active small dog and an elderly small dog. We think she would benefit from a confident and playful doggie sibling to help mentor her. We haven't seen Bronx around cats, but with a slow introduction, she could do well living with dog-savvy cats. Bronx has done great meeting kids and could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Bronx has been doing great with her housetraining using a dog door. In a new environment and a new routine, she will have some accidents, but should pick up things quickly with consistency and being rewarded for pottying outside. Bronx has never been alone since she is always with her siblings, so she would do best with a family that can slowly acclimate her to being alone.  Bronx is such an adorable girl who is going to bring so much happiness to her new family. If you think that could be you, submit an application today!   Bronx's adoption fee is $450.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. It's impossible not to love Brother Bear! Brother Bear (aka Brother) is estimated to be around 3 months old, and he is a fun guy who loves to play and explore. He is the last boy of the group and is an independent little guy. He is a smart and adventurous puppy who would love an active family to call his own. Brother weighs about 13lbs and we estimate that he will be at least 40-50lbs when fully grown. Brother and his siblings came to us from our local animal shelter after they were found dumped in rural Yolo County. These puppies are looking for individual homes so that they can get the one-on-one training and socialization they need to thrive as adults. Brother is the independent lovebug. He tends to stray away from hanging out with his sisters, but loves to make new human friends and get attention. He is such a sweet boy who thrives on positive reinforcement and is happy to curl up in your lap for cuddles. He is eager to learn, especially if food is involved, and has already mastered some of his basic manners. Story
The rescue was contacted about Rhonda because she was a street dog who had a terrible skin infection on her rear leg. Her advocate had already started treating it but she really needed to be off the street in a clean environment for the treatment to be successful. It took about 2 months but we were finally able to get this skin infection to clear and the wounds that it caused to close completely! She is now ready for her forever home! She loves playing in the yard and lounging in the Sun for long naps. She is not a high-energy dog, she prefers to snuggle and hang out around the house. She is very sweet and absolutely loves getting attention and kisses!

Story
Clyde was part of a group of dogs in Tijuana Mexico who came in from a dog hoarding situation. The dogs were kept in crates 24/7 and never allowed out. They ate, drank, a defecated all in the same tiny cramped crate with no escape. Bonnie, Clyde, and Dennis were sent to us together. They were kept in crates the majority of the time so they are still learning socialization skills. They have blossomed so much since they have been here but we know with your help they can truly see how good life can get! They would do best in a home with no children and a secure yard and patient humans with big hearts!
