Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Twinkie, so named by the shelter staff because of his resemblance to everyone's favorite sweet treat, could have received that name because he is such a sweet dog. This aproximately 3-year-old is a happy fellow who won the hearts of the shelter staff when he was there as a flea covered stray. He was offered to rescue by the shelter, because of his treatable health conditions including non-contagious bacterial infections and heartworm. He has recovered from the bacterial infections, but he will continue to receive monthly medication for heartworm, with a follow-up heartworm antigen test in December 2026. However, those can be carried out in his adoptive home, so we are accepting applications for him. Medication (oral, or topical) and instructions will be provided. Twinkie loves being with people!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2026, 1:27 pm

Possum is the quiet guardian with the softest soul. He doesn’t rush, doesn’t worry, and doesn’t do drama. He calmly strolls around, checking in on everyone like he’s making sure the world is still kind. Life wasn’t always good for him but he’s incredibly gentle and as sweet as they come. If you’re lucky, he will gently kiss you on the tip of your nose once he gets to know you. Possum is looking for a loving home where he will be the center of attention and have a place in your heart. He is a wonderful, sweet dog who deserves so much love. The best possible home for Possum will be a quiet home where he and his humans can keep each other company in his golden years. Medical / Special Needs: Possum is an old man with some arthritis in his joints. He’s got some aches and pains in his body from years of neglect, so he prefers not to be picked up.

Story
Despite the darkness she came from, Charlotte, a Dachshund-Corgi mix, is one of the sweetest, most gentle souls you could ever meet. Charlotte has stolen our hearts. Despite her blindness, this hasn’t taken away her trust or her love for people — she simply leans in closer to feel it. What Charlotte wants most now is simple: a soft couch, warm belly rubs, and someone to cuddle beside while being showered with affection. She is a very special little girl who will fill a quiet home with extraordinary love. 🐾 Medical / Special Needs: Charlotte is blind, but once she maps your place, she’ll be good to go.

Story
Beto is a very cute and playful short-legged Jack Russel Terrier / Corgi mix. He is very sweet, energetic, and super funny, especially when playing with his bonded brother Billy. With being only 8 months old, be prepared for the puppy personality and energy level. Beto has been neutered, he is up to date on his vaccinations, and he is microchipped and crate-trained. He is small and spunky, has a happy-go-lucky personality, and gets along very well with all other dogs. Beto will bring lots of joy everywhere he goes. He and his brother were rescued when they were young puppies. They have experienced nothing but love and affection all their lives (no street life experience), and now they are ready to be placed in their loving forever homes.
