Story
HI - I'M FRANCO... I'm an 8-month-old mini-corgi-shepherd mix in need of a loving foster or forever home. I'm likely mixed with corgi due to my short little legs, and possibly have some Frenchie in me as well due to my Frenchie ears! I'm super cute! I weigh only 30 pounds and am a perfect size. I was rescued from a shelter in the middle of the California desert, where I was impounded as a stray. At the shelter, I was kenneled with multiple dogs and did well. I'm a bit shy at first but am now coming out of my shell and am doing great (I'm a bit serious in some of my earlier photos but am a happy boy now.) Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
I was found as a stray and am about 2 years old. I love to go on walks and meet dogs and people. I am learning basic commands. I LOVE to rest on someone's lap, I also like to cuddle. Loud noises don't seem to faze me. Sometimes, I chase the cat, even though she tells me not to. I get excited when I am going to eat or go on a walk. Other than that, I'm pretty quiet. I like to be with people, I am working on building my confidence. I need to have access to a backyard, although because of my 12-pound size, it doesn't need to be a big one. I am crate trained. I have not destroyed anything. My current people keep me busy with toys, walks and lap naps. I get a lot of attention on walks because of my ear span. I have low pigment in my body ( see my pink nose?), so I need to take shorter trips into the Sun. I am monitored while outside most of the time because I do not want to be a coyote snack. I have been on many rides in the car. I am half love bug and half active tomboy!

Story
HI - I'M CHESTER! And dogs don't get much cuter than me! In fact, I'm 45 lbs. of cuteness! I'm a shepherd/lab/who-knows-what mix with short little legs! So yes, I'm a shorty - hence the likely Corgi in me. I'm pretty much perfect. I smile a lot, I love other dogs, I'm affectionate and I'm great with kids! Whomever gets me will have joy in their life for many years to come. I was rescued from a scary shelter but it didn't get me down - I just rolled with it 'til I was bailed out of there. Now I'm ready for the next chapter - my forever home! Could you foster or adopt me? I'm currently in a foster home in the Pacific Northwest. I'd do best with someone who works from home or is retired, and possibly who has another dog, since I am so happy being around other dogs. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Bello! He is the sweetest little boyl! He is a 6 month old that was rescued from the street before being rounded up and sent to a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horiffic puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade.  Bello and some of his family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app June 8, 2025, 6:32 pm
