Story
Meet Nuri l! She is the sweetest girll! She is a 3 year old with an incredible survival story.  She was tied to the side of a fence against a house during a wildfire in South Korea.  The family that owned her evacuated and left her behind tied up.  The widlfire swept through the area and burned down the house, leaving little Nuri stuck to the side fence. Miraculously when fire fighters arrived, she had been badly burned but was still alive.  The rescuers we work with were notified and immediately stepped in to try to help her.  She has gone through months of rehabilitation and skin grafts, and is an incredible hero who maintained her friendly and affectionate demeanor through it all.   She finally finished her treatments and is now ready for adoption!   She has survived so much, and is now just waiting for a family to finally love her forever.  Nuri and some of her family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app August 5, 2026, 7:09 pm

Story
*Note: Gomgom is currently in Korea, but he wil arrive in LA on Aug 21 once adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.BackgroundGomgom and Gombyul were found neglected in a small village in Changnyeong, Korea, this spring. Their owner no longer wanted them, and they were left without the care and protection they deserved. Our shelter manager found them and brought them to safety.Personality and SocializationGomgom has quickly shown everyone what a happy and social boy he is. He is friendly with both men and women, comfortable around children, and loves spending time with other dogs. He especially enjoys playing with dogs who have a similar energy level and playful spirit. Affectionate and full of charm, Gomgom loves being involved and is always happy to join in the fun.Gomgom has not had any experience with cats. Because he is curious and may enjoy chasing them, a home without cats would likely be the best fit for him.BehavioursGomgom is a very easy dog to live with. He prefers to do his business outdoors and enjoys going for walks. He rides well in the car, behaves nicely during veterinary visits and bath time, and walks well on leash.Gomgom may not do well being left alone or being confined for extended periods of time. He may become stressed and bark when he feels isolated or unable to be with his people. Other than that, Gomgom is a fun, affectionate, and loving boy who is a joy to be around. He has a wonderful personality and brings lots of laughs, warmth, and happiness to everyone around him.Health and DietGombyul is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and receives regular parasite prevention. He is healthy and ready for his forever home.He has no known medical conditions or allergies and eats dry kibble twice a day.Ideal HomeGomgom would do best with someone who is home most of the time, such as someone who works from home or is retired. Rather than living in a condo, he would likely be much happier in a house with a backyard where he can enjoy more space and time outdoors.More than anything, Gomgom loves spending time with his people. His ideal family would enjoy a quiet but engaged lifestyle and be ready to share life's everyday moments and adventures with him. A family who wants to enjoy the journey together with a happy, playful, affectionate companion would be a wonderful match for Gomgom.*Note: Gomgom is currently in Korea, but he wil arrive in LA on Aug 21 once adopted. Story
Look no further - we've found the Best Burrito in LA! Our handsome and sweet boy Burrito was rescued (with his four babies - Ceviche, Salsa, Enchilada and Taquito) from horrible neglect and physical abuse. He spent the first 6 or 7 year of his life chained up outside of a factory in South Korea where he spent his days in fear of his abusers. But he is safe now and thriving! As soon as we rescued Burrito, we took him to the vet where he was treated for heartworm, and he's now a healthy and happy little hunk. He recently took his freedom flight from Korea to LA and is loving life in his first ever foster home. Despite his past, Burrito is a super low-maintenance and chill dude! He loves to relax in the house, hang on the porch and watch the world go by, and get all the treats and love. Whoever adopts this low-riding dude is going to be so lucky! Apply to adopt this papa pup today! **We have adopted many dogs to out-of-area, state, and even international homes! We usually require that the approved applicants come to meet their new dog in Los Angeles and transport them home. Most of our out of area families make a fun road trip of it!
