Story
Baxter is an exuberant young dog who loves life and seems determined to live it to the fullest. His huge brown eyes are beautiful, and his corgi-like body is graceful and athletic. Baxter is especially intuitive to people's emotions and seems to sense when someone is sad and needs a bit of attention. He is clever and funny and very loving. Baxter's ideal home would be one where he gets lots and lots of love! This dog LOVES people! He also loves other dogs and children. He really loves children! He has lived with cats as well. He is crate trained. Baxter is lively and engaging (perfect description of a corgi!) although he also loves to snuggle. He will lay across your lap, happy to be close, knowing he is safe. He's just a darling dog and will bring lots of joy to any home. He lived in a home in Mexico with another dog and when their owners moved, they were left inside with no food or water. Luckily, they were eventually rescued and For Good Rescue opened its arms, so they were able to come here to find their forever loving homes. I'm 20 lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $400 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. I'm a cute stubby guy, they say.  I ended up at a shelter and was put on the euthanasia list, but I got really lucky and was given a second chance. I’m a sweet, happy, easygoing guy who is always wagging my tail and ready to make new friends. I LOVE people and do great with all dogs I meet. Playing with my dog friends is one of my favorite things, and I’m happiest just being part of the family. I’m also an easy house guest — I’m not a barker, and I use the potty door like a pro. I sit nicely for bath time and am eager to please. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto, and I’m 4DX negative. My adoption fee is $400. My name is Pippa. I am an 11 month old Corgi/terrier mix. I weigh 28 lbs. I love to give hugs and kisses. I love belly rubs and pats and sleeping in bed with my people. I rarely bark. At first, I will be reserved but quickly warm up to everyone. I hate squirrels but like other dogs. I don't think I know what a cat is. I can use a doggy door, am not afraid of crates, but don't really like the door to be closed on me. I am dark brown with golden undertones and am growing the cutest goatee. JANETThree’s Company called… and apparently Janet got cast as the sweet, soft-hearted roommate with the giant bat ears and emotional support energy. 🖤This little beauty is around 12 weeks old, approximately 7 pounds, and appears to be some kind of Chihuahua mix… although we strongly suspect there’s a little corgi mixed in based on those absolutely ridiculous ears. We’re pretty sure she can hear a treat bag open from three counties away.Janet is currently being fostered with her brother Jack, and while he’s usually the first one ready to explore something new, Janet tends to hang back just a little at first and take everything in. Once she settles in though? She absolutely wants to be close to her people — curled up beside you on the couch, quietly following you around, and emotionally attaching herself to your daily routine immediately.She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves everyone she meets, and has such a soft, gentle personality.
