Story
Two years old, and still is pretty much a puppy. He needs someone who can help him with his anxiety and excitement reactivity. He has really bad separation anxiety and needs someone who can preferably be there with him while that gets worked out. He’s really sweet and loves people but is skeptical about dogs. I would be careful bringing him around other dogs especially bigger dogs as he’s a little more fearful of them, but generally likes hanging out with smaller dogs. I would also be careful with small kids. Even though he loves them, he’s been known to jump, and might get too excited. He is crate trained, but with his separation anxiety he can’t be left in the crate all alone in the house. Overall Reggie needs someone who has a good amount of time for him as well as experience in how to handle a herding breed/corgi. We wish we could keep him, but with moving, as well as our change in finances, this is our last resort. Please help us find a good home for Reggie.

Story
Looking into rehoming our dog. Oscar is a 2yr old male Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is generally a good dog, playful, and loving. He would be best suited in a home with older children or adults only and no other pets. He is up to date on vaccines, crate trained, house trained and prefers a calm environment in the house. He enjoys long walks and car rides. He's the best travel companion! We adopted him from our local PAWS and since he has one bite history they are unable to rehome him. He really is a wonderful dog, yet since I have children in the home, I don't think we're a good fit for what he needs.

Story
I’m Manny, a 12 year old, 20 pound, male Corgi mix. I’m looking for a special home to spend my golden years. I’m very loving and get along with dogs and cats. I take my time warming up to new things. I am house trained. I am blind but get around fine and have no problem with stairs. In my past life I was very secluded and not cared for. That gave me some triggers. Well really just one — gates, any kind of gate. Because of Manny’s nervousness and past life, we will plan of multiple meetings. Also, Manny will need to be adopted within 50 miles of Flossmoor, IL. Manny is microchipped as well as up to date on vaccines, monthly preventatives. He has had a dental. Manny’s adoption fee is $150. If you are think you are Manny’s special someone, please visit heathersfosterdogs.org to complete and submit your adoption application.

Story
Willis is a precious 6 year old boy, weighing about 15 lbs. He is thought to be a Corgi-Chihuahua Mix. He is a very social pup; he loves people and other dogs. He has experience living with a cat as well. His favorite activities include playing with toys, and spending time with his special person. Willis is visually impaired; his pupils were confirmed to be non-reactive to light. However he does not let his blindness get in his way of enjoying every day. In fact if you met Willis, you most likely would not even know his vision is limited. He follows sounds and gets around, finding his toys and treats without any issues. Willis would do best in a home with another dog who can teach him how to navigate his new environment and ensure his days are rich and happy! Anyone lucky enough to adopt Willis, would have a best friend for life. Willis has great house manners and can stay home alone, uncrated. He is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in adding this precious pup to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Story
We are looking to rehome our sweet 8.5 year old lab/corgi mix. She is a really sweet pup but cannot be in a house with small children or other dogs. We have had Lulu for 6+ years and she has always been fearful and a bit nippy at children. - not good with other dogs or children. -She is good with our cat- Lulu loves walks but is reactive to other dogs, crossing the street and using her vibrating collar is necessary. She needs a confident owner who can walk her and get her back on track when distracted by dogs. Does best with fenced in yard -2 chronic (easily managed) medical conditions, for thyroid and seizures. Daily medication necessary and easily given. Medicine is inexpensive. -loves pets, belly rubs and to cuddleWe will provide the remaining medicine food/treats, and her vibrating collar, leash, beds, treats, flea/tick medicine that we haveLulu truly is a wonderful dog but needs a different environment as she cannot be around children

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey-a! I’m Mario ❤️ I may be a little guy, but I’ve got a big heart, lots of love to give, and I’m very ready for my happily ever after. I came to rescue from a crowded shelter where I was running out of time, but thankfully I got my second chance — and now I’m hoping my forever family is next! I’m a super friendly boy who loves meeting people. New friends? Amazing. Familiar faces? Even better! I’m always happy to see you and usually come with a wagging tail and cheerful little smile. I really just enjoy being part of the fun and close to my people. I also get along with other dogs and currently share my kennel area with two other male dogs. I do especially well with female dogs, though, because I can sometimes get a little bossy with other boys. What can I say? I like to think I’m in charge sometimes. But overall, I’m still a very good boy and do just fine with proper introductions and respectful dog friends. I’m not sure how I do with cats or young kids yet, but I’ve shown everyone here what a sweet, happy companion I can be. I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m all set and ready to start my next adventure with a family of my own. All I need now is someone to love me forever. Adoption fee: $350 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Mario is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $225 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 8, 2026, 5:42 pm
