Good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Two years old, and still is pretty much a puppy. He needs someone who can help him with his anxiety and excitement reactivity. He has really bad separation anxiety and needs someone who can preferably be there with him while that gets worked out. He’s really sweet and loves people but is skeptical about dogs. I would be careful bringing him around other dogs especially bigger dogs as he’s a little more fearful of them, but generally likes hanging out with smaller dogs. I would also be careful with small kids. Even though he loves them, he’s been known to jump, and might get too excited. He is crate trained, but with his separation anxiety he can’t be left in the crate all alone in the house. Overall Reggie needs someone who has a good amount of time for him as well as experience in how to handle a herding breed/corgi. We wish we could keep him, but with moving, as well as our change in finances, this is our last resort. Please help us find a good home for Reggie.

Story
Shelby is a very sweet female who is about 2 1/2 years old. She is probably Corgi/Shepherd mix as evidenced by her short stature. She gets along with every dog she meets and is sweet to an elderly dog in her foster home. She's comfortable with kids and adults both men and women. Her friendly disposition earns her lots of pets on her walks through the neighborhood. She walks very nicely on a leash. She was once in a home where she lived side by side with cats. Shelby is house trained, sleeps well through the night on her dog bed, enjoys her meals, and takes naps on the couch. She is a snuggler. If you would like to meet Shelby, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. Her adoption fee is $275. The adoption fee includes: -microchip -spaying -age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies -heartworm preventive & amp -flea/tick preventive -deworming

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Taffy. Taffy is a sweet puppy looking for the patient, loving family she deserves. She was owner surrendered through no fault of her own, and while she may be unsure of new people at first, she has so much love waiting to come out of her shell. Taffy did not receive the socialization she needed while growing up, so she needs a family who understands that trust takes time. She can be cautious when meeting new people and may need some time to feel comfortable. She also seems to have had some negative experiences with people touching around her neck and the back of her head. Because of this, she may have a slight reaction if someone reaches for or touches those areas before she knows and trusts them. She will need people who are patient, respectful of her boundaries, and willing to let her go at her own pace. Once Taffy gets to know you and realizes she can trust you, her demeanor completely changes. Her sweet and goofy personality really shines, and she becomes an affectionate, happy puppy who loves attention. She will even dance for you in return for some treats or attention! Taffy’s favorite thing in the world is a good back scratch, and once she trusts you, she will happily soak up all the attention she can get. Older/considerate kids only. Taffy is still just a puppy, and with patience, consistency, positive experiences, and plenty of love, we know she will continue to come out of her shell and become the playful, loving puppy she was meant to be. Taffy is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevenetion. Her adoption fee is $350. To apply to adopt Taffy, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Taffy is currently in Texas but can travel to Washington, Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and along the East Coast. If transportation is needed, there is an additional $250 transport fee. Unfortunately, due to state regulations, Taffy cannot travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 25, 2026, 4:36 pm
