Story
Lady Lucy – Sweet Survivor  Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart the moment you meet them, and Lady Lucy is certainly one of those dogs. Though her past appears to have been filled with uncertainty, she has emerged from it with a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and an unwavering belief that good things are still ahead. Lady Lucy was one of nine dogs discovered living in a remote wooded area of Middle Tennessee after they were apparently abandoned when their owner fell on difficult times. No one knows exactly how long they survived on their own, but their situation touched the hearts of many rescue volunteers who came together to help. With patience, food, water, and kindness, the dogs were gradually brought to safety. Rescue groups across the region stepped forward to help, and Critter Cavalry Rescue was fortunate enough to welcome Lady Lucy into its care. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Lucy had once known the comforts of a home. She settled in beautifully and quickly showed everyone what a wonderful companion she is. At just over a year old and weighing 32 pounds, Lucy is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller dog with a big heart. She appears to be a delightful mix of Corgi and Beagle, though her most remarkable feature is her personality. She is affectionate, gentle, and full of love, with the easygoing nature often found in hound breeds. Whether she's relaxing beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, Lucy simply wants to be close to her people. She is fully grown, crate trained, housebroken, and has excellent manners in the home. Lucy currently lives successfully with other dogs and does very well in an active household with teenagers, but she has made it clear that she would not mind having a little less competition for attention. After all she has been through, we think she would happily embrace a life where she can enjoy a bit more of the spotlight and receive the princess treatment she believes is rightfully hers. Lady Lucy has a way of looking into your eyes that makes you feel like you've known each other forever. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds, offers unwavering companionship, and fills a home with warmth and comfort. Her difficult past has not diminished her capacity to love; if anything, it seems to have made her even more appreciative of every kindness she receives. Now all that remains is for the right family to find her. Lady Lucy is packed and ready for her next adventure, with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. She is ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin the life she has always deserved with a family who will cherish her as the special girl she truly is. To learn more about Lady Lucy or to request an adoption application, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 23, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Gus is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Gus can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life; in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Gus is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. Meet Gus! Fast Facts Breed: 52% Pembroke Welsh Corgi, 47% Labrador Retriever, 1% Golden Retriever Estimated Adult Weight: 26-46 lbs Age: 4 months old (as of June 12) Gender: Male Weight: 15-20 lbs Build: Low Rider About Gus Gus is a typical 4-month-old puppy who is ready to find his forever home! He is a unique mix of Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Labrador Retriever, and a touch of Golden Retriever, giving him that adorable, sought-after "low rider" look. Personality: A typical puppy who loves people! Because he is so young, it can be assumed he will do well with children. Other Animals: Gus gets along well with other dogs and assumes cats would be ok since hes young. Training & House Skills: He is doing okay in his crate. He is not currently housebroken, but he has the potential to learn quickly with a consistent routine. He doesn't have any experience walking on a leash yet, so he will need a patient family to help him learn the ropes. Prevention: He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate; all performed within 10 days of his transport date. Story
Meet Tiny! Breed: Corgi/Chihuahua Mix Estimated DOB: 04/02/2025 Sex: Female (spayed) Weight: 16 lbs Currently up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations Things To Know about Tiny: • Rescued from Mississippi• Needs a patient adopter willing to give her a little time to settle in — cautious with new people at first, but once she's comfortable, she is ALL in; after just 24 hours she was happy to be pet, snuggled, and picked up• Curious, spirited, and loves being the center of attention — gives the best kisses and her signature move is barrel rolling into a belly-up position at your feet for pets• Food motivated to her core and smart as a whip — will learn anything for a snack, and has been known to ignore squirrels for a piece of kibble• Loves toys — plays tug and fetch, entertains herself, and is just as happy with a good nap in the sun as she is on a long walk• Walks like a dream on leash; may give a tug if a squirrel or bike flies by, but easily redirected• Crate trained — may bark for a few minutes at first but settles right down and sleeps through the night without a peep• Housebroken• Dog friendly• Cat friendly• Looking for a loving and committed forever home to provide her with the care and love she deserves Learn more and apply to adopt at http://TLCrescuePA.org/adopt Interested in fostering?
