Story
Meet Yappy! Yappy? No. More like Happy Yappy. Because this girl seems to have one setting: Shes the kind of dog who wakes up every morning convinced its going to be the best day ever. Whether shes lounging on the porch, tagging along for a walk, or simply hanging out with her people, that giant smile rarely leaves her face. This adorable Cattle Dog/Corgi mix mama weighs around 40 pounds and has officially retired from motherhood. Her puppies are growing up, and now its finally her turn to find a family that will love and spoil her the way shes always deserved. Yappy has the perfect medium size, an adorable low-rider build, expressive ears, and enough charm to make strangers stop and say, Look at that smile! If youre looking for a dog who brings joy without demanding the spotlight, who can make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little brighter just by being there, Happy Yappy is your girl. She spent her time raising babies. Now shes ready to spend the rest of her life just being someones baby. Adoption Fee: $250 We are located in Fosters, AL and provide transport! Story
Leo recently joined our rescue and has only spent a few days in his foster home  and has been an absolute rockstar! He is estimated to be around 3 years old and is around 45 lbs. Our guess is that he is mostly  cattle dog, but maybe has some corgi in there too. He is an absolute love bug and is such a happy and sweet boy.   Leo rides well in the car and seems to be house and crate trained already. He has been a great house guest and seems pretty well mannered. He is pretty brave and walks decent on the leash so he would be a good adventure buddy. He does need a little leash training, as he occasionally wants to dart after a car, and will pull to say hello to people who pass. He just wants to be friends and say hello to everyone!    Leo has been super with male and female dogs, both in his foster home and at the shelter. He enjoys playing with his dog pals but also is happy to chill by your side. He seems to have a nice medium energy level. He was found as a stray but was neutered already so we think he had a family before. He also seems pretty comfortable in a house. He likes to be close to you and will follow you around but isn't overly needy and hasn't jumped up for attention. He is an excellent cuddle buddy! Leo hasn't been around kids that we know of but has been nothing but friendly and social. We do not have any information on Leo and cats.    If you are interested in this super good boy please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com!      (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2026, 12:31 pm
