Story
Lovey is as sweet as her name suggests. This gentle girl adores people and thrives on love, attention, and being part of the family. After years of enjoying a cozy home and backyard time with her elderly owners, Lovey is now looking for a new family to cherish her just as much.At the shelter, Lovey happily greets everyone she meets with a warm heart and hopeful eyes. She’s happiest lounging nearby, soaking up affection, and simply spending time with her people. While she hasn’t had much experience around other dogs and can be a little shy or unsure at first, her loving nature shines through once she feels comfortable.Lovey would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who will gladly trade cuddles for companionship. She’s ready to bring warmth, love, and plenty of tail wags to her forever home.Est. DOB: 7/31/2142 lbs.AAR does not transport for adoption.

Story
Meet Dreya — a Certified Interior Designer (her speciality is artfully trailing toy fluff around the house) who is the perfect mix of Cuddle Bug and Independent Girlie. Dreya was originally found on the side of the road and came to us fearful, territorial, and reactive toward men. Since being in our care, she has made incredible progress through patience, consistency, and rehabilitation. Now, Dreya is a sweet, loving girl who enjoys cuddling with her humans and being close to her people. She is very teachable, responds well to structure and routine, and continues to grow in confidence every day. Dreya can be picky when it comes to her fury friends, but has done well with many dogs in and out of the rescue. Dreya has also been in foster with several cats, and did amazing! We are happy to help with introductions and discuss dogs she has previously gotten along with. She is potty trained, house trained, kennel trained, comes running when you call her name, knows how to sit, and absolutely loves toys and fetch — she’ll even toss the toy back to you to keep playing! She also knows "t-rex", featured in her second photo. Dreya is looking for a patient, understanding adopter willing to continue helping her build trust and confidence. In return, she’ll give endless love and loyalty. Could you be Dreya’s perfect match?.

Story
Meet Mac – A Mighty Little Pup We’d like to share the story of a very special pup named Mac (short for Makenzie). Born the runt of her litter with severe limb deformities, Mac was unable to walk and initially given a poor prognosis. But Mac’s story didn’t end there. Thanks to Scout’s Honor Rescue, she was evaluated by the team at Houston Veterinary Specialists, who believed that with corrective surgery on her back legs, she could have a real chance at a happy, active life. Mac proved them right. With her trademark spunk and resilience, she recovered beautifully from major orthopedic surgery. Today, she spends her days chasing lizards in her foster’s backyard and soaking up naps in warm sunbeams. While Mac’s surgery was a great success, her early deformities mean she is more susceptible to injury and already has some arthritis. She will require a bit more advanced veterinary care as she ages. She also may eventually need corrective surgery on her front left leg. That means she really needs an amazing pet parent, someone who will give her the love, care, and medical support she deserves (and fortunately for us, we know quite a few amazing pet parents)! Mac gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, she truly loves everyone she meets. If you think you might be the perfect match for Mac, please click the link below to fill out an adoption application. https://scoutshonor.org/dogs/little-mac-pup  June 20, 2026, 7:46 pm
