The write up: Bobo is a 7-year-old Dachshund who loves his people and enjoys being part of a family. He has lived around people of all ages and is reported to do well with other dogs and cats. He has even been around a cockatoo! Bobo knows several everyday routines and words. When he needs to go outside, he will go to the door and bark to let his people know. He understands “get in the bed” and will happily settle into his own floor bed when asked. He is also quite happy to sleep with his person, including under the covers—because apparently Bobo knows a good thing when he finds it! He is comfortable wearing a leash and harness and will actually step into his harness when it is offered. He should be kept safely on leash or in a secure fenced area when outside, particularly in an unfamiliar environment. Bobo has a history of wanting to chase vehicles, so keeping him safely away from traffic will be especially important. A fenced-in yard is a must. We can talk more upon phone call.

You see, his hind legs were paralyzed and not everyone thought he could have a good life this way. Well, we in rescue have other ideas! In fact, we’ve been working with him and Budd has made a lot of progress that his foster would be happy to tell you about. But Budd is more than a guy with special needs. He’s a regular fella, too!
