Hi, I'm Percy — a 6-year-old black and tan dachshund with a whole lot of charm packed into my petite frame! 🐾 I'm neutered, food motivated, and already a pro on the leash, which makes our walks together something special. You'll love my wiggle butt greeting every time you come home — it's my way of saying you're the best part of my day. I'm adventurous, gentle, and smart enough to keep you on your toes in the best way. My adoption fee is $250, and I'm ready to start our next adventure together! ❤️

Story
Rusty was a stray, rescued from the street in 2020 at 18 months old. He is a sweet boy who is housetrained. He is 26 pounds and is a Dachshund mixed with what I think is a pitt/terrier. He is strong for such a little pup. He knows how to sit and stay and will come when called. He does best when crated when you are away, or when taken out regularly when you are home. He would do quite well with a fenced in yard and lots of time to chase lizards. He is a sweet boy who loves snuggles and his toys. I need to rehome him because my kids are now grown and I am not home enough to care for him like he deserves.

Story
We are looking for a new home for our beloved 12-year-old long-haired Dachshund due to an upcoming move. He is neutered, friendly, and still enjoys playing despite being a senior dog. He gets along well with children and other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for a family. He loves spending time outdoors, exploring and roaming around a fenced yard, and soaking up the sunshine. He is affectionate, enjoys attention, and has plenty of love to give. Like many dogs, he experiences anxiety during storms and does best with reassurance and a safe place to relax when it storms. We are looking for a loving, responsible home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by care and companionship. This decision has not been made lightly, and finding the right fit for him is our top priority. Please message me if you would like more information or think you may be the right match for this sweet boy. ❤️

Story
Elvis came to us with his siblings and two other letters as owner surrenders. The owners believe that he is a dachshund mix with a cocker spaniel mix. He looks at so we’re going to say those breeds are probably it… He is the cutest sweetest most lovable little puppy you will ever meet. He is tiny, so please be aware of that. His doctors will have to work on housebreaking and lease training with him so please be aware of this if you consider him He is only nine weeks old and his favorite hobbies are eating puppy food, eating treats, taking naps ,playing and cuddling. His monsters absolutely adore him, and if they did not have as many dogs as they had, they would absolutely keep him however, it is now time for him to find his forever home because he can’t stay. His adoption fee is $450. If you are interested in him, please make sure you include your phone number in the email and one of the volunteers will call you as soon as possible.

Story
ADOPT ME! Roo 🩵 Roo is a 6 month old Dachshund/German Shorthair Pointer mix. This sweet pup survived the worst already in life and is now looking for the best rest of his life. Roo came to us along with many other dogs from a hoarder house. He was full of fleas/parasites, under socialized and terrified. He’s been in foster care learning the ropes and doing well. He needs a home with another dog as they give him confidence needed to thrive. Roo has been neutered, vaccinated UTD and microchipped. 🔗APPLY at https://www.southernstatesbullyrescue.org/blank 📍Plant City FL

Story
Meet Roscoe! This gorgeous boy is estimated to be around 3–5 years old, and he not only has the looks, he has the sweetest personality too. Roscoe was found as a stray and ended up in a county shelter before Suncoast Basset Rescue got the call to help. While we are not exactly sure of his age, Roscoe definitely seems to be on the younger side. His teeth are in great shape, and he appears to be healthy and well cared for overall. Even better, he is a very good boy — well behaved, rides nicely in the car, and gets along well with kids and other dogs. At this time, we are not sure how he does with cats. Roscoe is handsome, sweet, and already showing everyone what a wonderful companion he is.

Story
Meet Leia. We don’t know much about her past, but we do know that her future is only going up from here. Leia is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on her condition, we suspect she may have had at least one litter of puppies. She arrived very, very thin, but we’re already working on getting some weight on her. The good news is she has a wonderful appetite and is happily cleaning up everything her foster mom is offering. Leia is absolutely beautiful and incredibly sweet, but she is also very scared and skittish. Quick movements, new people, and sudden noises can make her nervous. She can be extremely submissive, and we believe she likely hasn’t had much socialization in her short lifetime. Her foster mom is gently helping her learn that she is safe, building her confidence, and showing her that no one is going to hurt her. Despite her fears, Leia is great with other dogs and does very well on her walks. She clearly takes comfort from her canine friends, and because of this, she will need a home with another confident dog to help show her the way in this human world. A securely fenced yard will also be important so she can safely explore and continue building confidence at her own pace. Leia’s next steps include a full wellness exam with our vet, followed by getting her scheduled for her spay. With patience, love, and a calm environment, we know this sweet girl is going to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Story
Meet Norris! At just 4 months old, Norris is already showing what a smart and social pup he is. He would thrive in a forever home with an active, playful dog, as he absolutely loves having friends and playing with them. Norris enjoys being part of the action and is happiest when he has a buddy to romp around with. A securely fenced yard is required so he can safely run, explore, and burn off his puppy energy. This bright young boy already knows “sit,” will sit and wait politely for his food bowl, uses a doggie door, and has mastered using a ramp to get in and out of his foster mom’s bed — also known as the big dog bed. He sleeps snuggled up all night without accidents, and on the rare occasion he needs a midnight potty break, he will wake his foster mom to let her know.Norris is doing great with handling, is good for nail trims, and hasn’t shown any fear of thunderstorms. He is currently working on polishing his potty training and learning to take treats gently. He has also shown that he doesn’t need to be crated when his foster mom goes out, even for longer periods of time.Like many curious puppies, Norris is discovering the world around him — including the kitchen garbage can and the exciting possibility of counter surfing. His new family should be ready to stay one step ahead of this clever, growing pup. Norris is a sweet, affectionate, and playful youngster who is ready to bring fun, snuggles, and a little bit of puppy mischief to his forever home.
