Toby is a 6 years old boy that loves to play catch and go out always for a ride. He’s loving, really smart, very obedient and loyal. He also has been crate trained and has been trained to sit, stay, and lay down. Another thing about Toby is that he is very friendly with people after he gets comfortable, yet in the beginning he is shy.Now for the sad part, I have to let him go being so that I have no time to take care of him as he deserves. I also have developed dog dander allergies which has caused my asthma to go bad in the past. Not to mention, I also have been going through financial hardship with all the bills taking care of him. What I want and seek is someone that is experienced and has the ability to take him for long walks, etc, and be able to give him everything I haven’t been able to give him.

Story
Nipsey was born in April 2019 and joined my little family 4 months later. He has been such a joy to be around! He is so loving and a sweerheart. He loves to run and play catch. He has only ever barked at someone a handful of times over the years but quickly becomes everyone’s favorite. I am so sad to let me go but it has been hard to keep up with the expenses to fully take care of him. I am also moving and very busy so I would love to find him a loving home where he can love, play, and be the goofy little dog that he is.

Rescued from the forest area, this little girl is lucky to be alive! She is timid and sweet. The good Samaritans that found her had to trap her because she was so afraid. She is doing well with love and kindness and we are working on finding her a forever family. She is young.  With adult teeth but possibly still under a year.  Bailey will need a fenced in property as she is a flight risk.  She will need a SECURED fenced in property.  She is shy at first and scared to trust.  Once you earn her trust she is a silly girl.  She ADORES cats and loves to play with both dogs and cats.  She is a happy little girl but it is evident that she has not lived a happy life before coming to us.  Every new noise, anything new that you introduce her to scares her.  She will need an understanding home. ##2345741##

My name is Peanut, and I am a senior Dachshund mix. I was originally a street dog and spent time couch-surfing with my previous owner. While my mom wanted to keep me, she made the brave decision to surrender me to VOCAL so she could focus on her road to recovery. When I first arrived, I was in rough shape, rarely washed, and spent most of my time in a kennel. I have come a long way since then, though my skin still struggles and I am currently taking medication to help me heal. I am great on a leash, but I don't really need one as I will always stay right by your side. I am pretty chill and will let you know when I need to eat or go outside. I get along well with both cats and other dogs—in fact, I love to run the dog park and mix with both big and small dogs. I am currently in a foster home and am available for a meet and greet.

Frank came into rescue with several other dogs and puppies. We were told that their owner's insurance would not cover the number of dogs that she had so she had to rehome them to keep her insurance. We were told that Frank is about a year old and is a dachshund/pitbull mix. That does seem accurate as he has a big ole head with a long body and those adorable feet that many long bodied dogs seem to have. Frank is a very happy, bouncy boy. He is learning to walk on a leash but still could use some work (a harness would help a lot). Frank has been around other dogs his whole life so he should do fine with other dogs. He should do well with older kids. He's pretty active so toddlers and younger may not handle his energy well. We aren't sure how he would be with cats or if he has ever been around any. We do not have cats here to test him with. He rode great to the vet and seemed to enjoy his outing (until he found out why he got to go)! Frank is a friendly boy and will be a fun, medium sized companion. Frank saw the vet on 7/21/26 and was found to have no issues. He has been started on Simparica Trio for flea control and heartworm prevention with us and had a negative heartworm test. We have dewormed him twice with drontal also. Frank weighed 30 pounds as of 7/21/26. He is fully vetted now and ready to find his forever family. UPDATE: 9/11/26- Rolo has come out of his shell and loves attention. He seems to prefer women but he doesnt mind my husband. I am able to handle him without any growling or nipping. He is crate trained and gets along well with small and large dogs. He is coming into his confidence here and struts around with his head high. He is like a different dog since he has settled into life here. We still think that he will be apprehensive in a new environment and any adopter will need to be patient with him but he has shown that he does settle in more quickly than we initially thought he would and is really a sweet, loving boy when given a chance. Rolo came into rescue with his brother (who we will be getting vetted soon). They were saved from a suspected abuse situation by one of our regular fosters/volunteers who then asked if we could help to socialize them and find them a home. Rolo is adorable and just as skittish. Clearly he has either been abused in his young life or not well socialized (or both). He is approx 6 months old (as of 8/26/26) and we think he is a dachshund mix with maybe some husky (and maybe a few other breeds in there) mix. He is short coated and has many of the dachshund traits. He is considered a small dog but is a nice sturdy size. Rolo will growl and could potentially be a fear biter if he felt cornered. Once he feels safe, he seems to accept and enjoy affection and human connection. He does seem to relate better to women, perhaps they are less intimidating and appear "softer" to him, perhaps a man abused him and he remembers and is fearful because of that. We just don't know what he went thru but he is still very young and can overcome his fears and build his confidence with patience, understanding and love. Because Rolo is a fearful dog that does have the potential to bite, we do not recommend him for a home with children. We also do not recommend a novice home for him. Rolo will need someone who understands dogs and who can work with him patiently to become a confident boy. He will need socialization and the time to learn to trust humans. Underneath the fear, Rolo is a sweet boy and you can tell he is crying out for help because he does not want to live his life in fear! Rolo does seem to get along well with other dogs. We are unsure of cats. Rolo seems to be crate trained although we never guarantee any of our dogs to be fully crate or housebroken. We haven't really tried to leash walk him yet because he's still very scared and we don't like to traumatize our dogs more than necessary. We are able to pick him up and he does great when he feels safe and secure. Rolo will be a tiny, adorable challenge but the reward for your efforts will be a devoted best friend! Rolo saw the vet on 8/25/26 and was found to have no major issues noted. He was noted to have some dirty ears which were cleaned at the clinic and his prepuce had some minor swelling which the vet said will go down and was probably related to licking. He has been started on Simparica Trio for flea control and heartworm prevention with us and tested negative on his heartworm test. He tested positive for hookworms and we have dewormed him with Drontal. Rolo weighed 19.16 pounds as of 8/25/26. He is ready to find his forever family.
