Story
Unfortunately, we have to rehome him because he seems to be getting anxiety/nervous and aggressive towards our toddler. I wouldn’t be rehoming if it wasn’t for my child’s safety. He would be best in a house with only adults for this reason. And if any other dogs in home females would be best as that’s what he’s used to. A yard would be a plus since he’s always had a yard. He’s good around horses too! He will be 6 in August

Story
Meet Oscar 🐾 Oscar is a one-of-a-kind little guy who is part Chihuahua, part Pittie, part mystery, and 100% lovable! With his long body and short little legs, he’s basically a hot dog with a Pittie smile. 😂❤️ Oscar is super affectionate, playful, and cuddly. At just barely a year old he has plenty of energy and loves to play, but when playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up with his favorite person. He also does wonderfully with other dogs and sleeps like a champ in his crate. 💤 He’s mostly potty trained and is learning more every day. He’s also apparently pursuing a career in interior design—he loves rearranging the dog beds and toys to create what he believes is the perfect layout. 😂 Oscar does have a mischievous side. He LOVES food and may occasionally jump on tables or go looking for snacks. In fact, this little genius has figured out how to open Tupperware! We believe some of this comes from his history of food insecurity, so he’s still learning that he doesn’t have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. ❤️ Oscar is sweet, silly, energetic, affectionate, and just the right amount of naughty. He’s looking for a family who will give him patience, structure, cuddles, playtime, and most importantly, the chance to finally feel safe and loved. Oscar may rearrange your furniture, steal your heart, and possibly figure out your Tupperware… but we promise he’s worth it. 🐶❤️ Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Wendell is a young VERY SWEET daschund mix so has short little legs. He is mixed with who knows how many other breeds but he is cute as heck!  Wendell has come to us Heartworm positive and has entered the treatment phase of that process. He also does have an old injury to his hindquarters that will require an FHO surgery once he is through the HW treatment so probably early Winter of 2026. He also has a neurological issue from that injury (the vet and surgeon agree that he was probably hit by a car and not treated) that does effect his sciatica and causes his little butt to shift out from underneath him sometimes. But please know that NONE of this stops this little guy!!! He is an active, fun little dude who seems good with other dogs and interested in cats. He would probably make a great family pet and is suuuuch a good boy! He is also crate trained and does great in one! The one thing it is important to note for Wendell is that he does have some fecal incontinence which is probably a direct result of his injury and will most likely not improve which is sad because he is only three. BUT. We have learned that if Wendell has a doggie door he can use to access a yard (while you are home of course) then he does seem to have enough notice and time to get out to the yard to potty. This would probably not make him appropriate for an apartment setting though since it would be challenging for them to have a doggie door and a yard. If that were the case, we think he could be in an apartment. Also know that Bonaparte's would be happy to continue the cost of treating his HW and also the surgery when we got to that point.August 19, 2026, 5:22 pm

🚀 Meet Astro! ❤️🐾 Astro is a sweet 3-year-old Chiweenie who is looking for his forever home. He’s currently battling heartworms, but that hasn’t stopped this little guy from being loving, deserving, and full of hope. The best part? All of Astro’s medical care is fully covered by us. ❤️ His heartworm treatment and veterinary needs are taken care of by Our Angel Fund, so his future family can focus on giving him what he really needs: love, patience, cuddles, and a safe place to call home. Astro deserves a second chance and a family who will love him through every step of his journey. 🏡🐶 If you think Astro could be your perfect match, please reach out. And if you can’t adopt, sharing his story could help him find his forever family! 🚀❤️ **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be allowed inside- especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a tie out or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard. **

Story
Peanut has a big dog personality and if he sees other dogs, he gets super excited, and the yipping sounds scary, but he just wants to play!! He's a nipper and he likes to jump on you out of excitement and although he LOVES kids, he should be in.a home with older kids Peanut is still young, and has plenty of energy to play and run.He has been known to be a runner- He will take off and think, it's a GAME and it will be hard to catch him, so careful at the doors nd fences ;) But smart sweet pup loves kisses and lay on your lap . He walks good on a leash i put 2 one on harness and collar since I don't want him to get loose. (harnesses are too easy to get out of, so a martingale collar is his best collar) He can upset a bigger or smaller dog if they don't have a tolerance for nippiness. In the face kinda of thing he loved to play and he runs super fast lol 😆 they would have to be extra careful that he never gets out of front.Door or takes off he laughing fast 😅 Poor little guy almost got run over on these big streets all alone, and we NEVER want that to happen to him again. So now you know more about the firecracker named Peanut. He is a doll!! ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Our Adorable Little LOWRIDER! Mint is a handsome, happy, playful boy who got a second chance thanks to a kind Samaritan who found his mama living under a tree. Mama had even dug a little hole to keep her babies safe—and that’s how this sweet boy got his gardening-herb name! Mint’s foster mama says he is a sweet, high-energy love bug who is always ready for fun, playtime, and cuddles. He loves everyone! Kids, other dogs, toys, and adventures are all totally his jam. His mama appears to be a Lab mix, but since Mint and his siblings look a little different, we’re not exactly sure what breeds make up this adorable crew. We do have a pretty good suspicion that Mint has some Dachshund mixed in! This little guy is wonderfully low and long, giving him that irresistible lowrider look. Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain—Mint is ridiculously cute, full of personality, and ready for a forever family! If you’re looking for a fun-loving pup with a big personality and an extra-low ride, Mint may be your guy! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
