Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 20 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 22, 2024, 1:21 pm

Story
S'mores is a very sweet, smart boy who needs a home with someone who will be able to provide him the attention and care he deserves. His owner/parent works too much and has low capacity for the training and support he needs. This little guy would thrive somewhere with a yard and humans who have the time to nurture him properly. Rehoming him is one of the hardest decesions ever made but was done with a lot of love and thought about what's best for him and everyone in his current home.

Story
Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Pretzel, and feel that you would be a good match for him, please submit an application as stated towards the end of his listing. After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you! Meet Pretzel... our newest senior Dachshund who is now looking for his forever home since previous guardian passed away. This little guy weighs about 13-lbs.and is about 12-years old. Even though he's a senior, he's still an extremely active boy and loves going for long walks and rides very well in the car. We are looking for a family for him who is active and will take him for walks and on new adventures. He's well behaved, not a barker, and gets along well with people and other dogs, so he is a wonderful companion. Pretzel is housetrained and crate trained, although he'd rather not sleep in his crate. At times he can be stubborn, as are most Dachshunds, but he generally wants to please and is very treat-motivated. Pretzel is neutered, current on his Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccines, tested negative for Heartworms, and is microchipped. Pretzel currently needs weekly shampooing to treat his skin issues. The weekly shampooing with a medicated shampoo should be able to keep it under control and keep him comfortable. Fortunately, Pretzel doesn't mind his baths and is very cooperative! Pretzel's adoption fee is $400.00 Pretzel is a loving, active, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Pretzel would be a good match for your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com. You can also submit an application by going to: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption/ (cut and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Story
Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Deana and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you! Biscuit is a cute little 11-lb. Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is looking for his forever home and family, along with his buddy, Dixie. We're told he's about 11-years old, but he certainly doesn't act like a senior... he still has plenty of energy and enjoys going for long walks. In his foster home, Biscuit gets along well with the other three small dogs. He is well housetrained, and 'does his business' on a leash since his foster home doesn't have a fenced yard. Biscuit does sleep in a crate at night, but doesn't enjoys it and will complain for a while before he settles down. He does not do well riding in a car, so a family who generally stays close to home and will take him for nice long walks (which he really enjoys) will be best for him. Biscuit especially loves his foster dad, and will cuddle next to or on him whenever possible. We know that he would love to have a male in his new family! Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. He also received a dental cleaning, so he is fully vetted and ready to go to his forever home. Biscuit's adoption fee is $400.00 if adopted separately. The adoption fee is $600.00 for Biscuit and Dixie together. Biscuit is a loving, sweet, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Biscuit (or Biscuit and Dixie together) to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. Story
Meet Corkey! He is THE CUTEST boy around town! He looks just like a yellow lab in a dachshund body. He is a hoot! This little guy was found by a GS and never reclaimed. We can't understand why... he has excellent manners! He is housetrained and can be trusted inside without a crate, however he does love his crate. Corkey is about 2 years old. He is housetrained and crate trained. He loves people and doesn't mind other dogs. He would be great as an only dog. We are unsure about cats and kids. Corkey is up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention. He is to be neutered next week and also chipped. If interested in giving this low rider his forever home, please complete the adoption application, below: https://acfrescue.weebly.com/forms.html Adoption fee: $225, which covers all vaccines, neuter and chip.
